Thanks Scott,This is a great advice. Does the notice period remain same for both Fixed and continuing lease agreements. My understanding was that with a Fixed agreement reduces the notice period from 60 days to 14 days. If that's not the case, then I am very happy to sign a Fixed lease for a year.Please clarify.

She is in NSW and has visited the agent a few times also. Apparently the landlord is not interested in spending any money on the property and as far gas inspection is concerned he is also required by law to have an inspection every 2 years by a certified gas fitter.
