Personally I think it would be a tough field to enter, as it is still a profession in the infant stages. However long term you would be getting in early and if can bear the tough times I think it would be a good area to be in. The public still are not that aware of buyers agents but in time will be. The main thing would be to be diligent and build a good referal base.
Like anything if you give it your best shot and keep the long term view in mind it would be achievable. In other words if you built the business up slow and kept with it maybe it would pay off. I like Darwin myself and a couple of years ago was thinking of buying an investment property myself wish I had probably missed the boat now.

Refinace, Loan Consolidation, Owner Occupied or Investment Finance. Free Service I come to you!Hi I would have to agree with the last statement it is very easy to access the equity in the property you have, therefore there is no real reason you would need to sell. However you may have your own reasons and that would be fine too.
I would be happy to discuss with you how you can use the equity my contact details are below and I am in qld

Comments may not be relevant to your circumstances, check with an accountant or financial adviserHi like the others here, I am surprised that the broker just handed you over to the banker. The role of the broker is not only to assist you to find a loan suitable for your current and future needs, but to assist you upto and beyond settlement.
The advantage to you is
* If you have a broker that does not charge a fee you have a free service.
* Their role is to assist you in finding the right loan tailored to your individual circumstances.
* Act as a coordinator of the various services, this does not necessarily prevent problems but should minimise them.
* Be a resource to the customer during the processWayne Skewes
