?? I find it extraordinary that people don’t read newspapers! how else do you get your info, Mark? Reading through journals in a library?
I am afraid i am one of the herd that reads property magazines, goes to a million websites (that’s media too, right?) and spends half my life researching real estate.
It’s a funny perspective to say that people who read newspapers and watch the news are ignorant herds! Many would call it “due diligence”.
I like chill, Matts And more dancey stuff when wanting to get into a particular mood but definitely soft chill (eg dido, paul mac, morcheeba etc) for the morning after.
Funnily enough- when you ask this on an american board, they are all into hoe down country- bunch of bogans.
Rugby, maybe they want a different kind of “mentoring”- if ya know what I mean
Whatever happened to friendship? Tell them to come along on friday evening for a drink and we can stuff some propaganda into their head, if that’s what they’re looking for I prefer exchanging info than concepts of mentoring. I like equality- except for when my girl is on her knees
umm… kreman… I think you’ll find we all want different things- we kind of still own our own brains until richmond eats them.
for those who got great CG in the past few years- 100k, 200k, 300k etc… well, takes a lot of cashflow houses to make up that kind of money. That extra 5 bucks a week- well, it’s a beautiful thing- but CG means a big wad of cash in your pocket. $260.00 in your pocket a year, or 100k in your pocket because you made a big CG- it’s a tough choice.
Oops, godda go- richmond is chasing me around trying to poke a fork into my head [8]
Props and sis- totally up for a drink- but do we have to go to parramatta? um- it’s kind of far out for me :o) I am a city type- any chance of meeting up somewhere in the city or inner-west?
well, sis- the media *does* influence me. I rwead about 4 newspapers each day- and every article i can lay my hands on, about property. One doesn;t have to be a simpleton to be “influenced” by the media. how else are we going to find out about trends in RE unless we read newspapers and watch the news etc.
It’s a bit old-fashioned to not read newspapers or watch the news for fear that various forms of media might take off with our brains! hehe. All the major newspapers are online- the SMH (smh.com.au), the Age, (theage.com.au) the Telegragh (news.com.au) the AFR (afr.com.au), the australian (australian.news.com.au)
A good way to find current news articles is to go to the google.com site, and go to the “news” section of google, and to type in “real estate australia” or whatever. You can find articles that have been written only 9 minutes ago (or even less!)
seriously though Prop, sis, Rugby, Mini and Pisces and other sydney people… one day we should all meet up for a drink- not a cashflow chart and software thing- just a drink- we can chat about IP’s and stuff- it would be fun :o)
And no- I wouldn;t meet up with you at a bdsm venue- for a start, they probably wouldn’t let us in… for another, bdsm venues are for people who are into bdsm- not gawkers- sheesh. Have some respect, folks!
but anyone who wants to hang and have a drink on a friday evening after work or whatever, let’s do it
Claude, we probably know one another- i’ve spent some time on the scene in melby too Sydney has a more clubby scene though- which i’m happy with- hush etc didn’t quite cut it with me (
hmmm, fair enough richmond. I guess some of us enjoy the social interaction too :o) The net has multiple uses. If a discussion board was too dry, i wouldn’t use it.
Maybe Pinky was watching wife swap and fat club :o) Told you I watch crap TV :o)
I went to the link about the country house and land sales… basically, noone who posted in Spetember 2003 currently still posts. Things change, I guess. Maybe in 6 months, we’ll be gone too! []
Some of us don’t “follow” anyone. The points made by Jenman are not new ones. But the perspectives regarding the VFA’s Code of conduct are new. Either Jenman could say them or someone else could- he is not the only one with those ideas.
The posting of the URL is for newer investors to this board, who might not be familiar with discussions about wraps. Each person will make up his or her own mind about how to practice RE. Some people will scoff and denigrate Jenman- because they prefer to attack the person, not the issues. Some people won’t care what he says, and will choose to wrap anyhoo. Others might think a little before they wrap.
If I was the type who liked to follow others, I think I would take an easier path. But this forum is where Steve has said people are able to critique wraps- not in the wrapping forum, so so be it :o)
Well, I guess for those of us who spend a lot of time reading about property, we kind of have an idea about trends, and price movements etc.
This show will target people who don’t spend as much time on here as we do. It probably doesn’t hurt to show different perspectives about how the property market is going.
It might make those who aren’t so savvy a bit more cautious about jumping in and overspending. The mum and dad type investors.
