    Hi Sindone,

I’m in the same boat , but however I’m in the middle of a contract for my first IP and wanting to find out more about trust. I plan to buy more IP’s in the future.

Can someone out there please explain that if you were buying in the trust name , you would have to pay land tax. How much is the setup fee for a trust account and the running cost?.

    Thanks in advance

Thanks Johnd, Kooringal & sipder for all the inputs, it has help me to open my mind to what I can do. Thanks so much , now I will have to seek
advice from my solicitor or my finicial advicer.

It has been a learn curve for me and I appreciate all the people who replied, recently a much wiser person now… haha[:0)]

Anyway I will think about how to set up a trust account?, and how easily could it be done.

Interesting point that Johnd point out about the borrowing limit , in how the bank view you when borrowing in two name. And from you Kooringal “think of long term and not short term benefits”

    Have a nice day

Thanks Maximus & Dram for both of your inputs.
I will have both names on the loan , but plan to have one name on the purchase contract.( my partner)who is on a higher income.

Bugger stamp duty gets you all the time….

    Thanks & happy investing !!!

    Thanks guys for the response.

Gus , Thanks for the info, because I am in that suitation , whereby the HFG is trying to sell me this package , including finace and flights to inspect portentical properties. Gus I think you are right in saying that you would be buying a property above market to fund thier events.

Personal I’ll be better off doing a bit more research in an area that I comfortable with than to go with them. Can anyone tell me what are the sources to investigate an areas in Sydney or perphas in Brisbane of good captical growth and good development[|)].
