    Hi Gang

I would love to be in buttttttttt I’m in Vic. Maybe this could happen in Vic, preferably CBD or western side. I’ll be moving to Geelong in December. Any takers out there.

hey, where is the place, $400 per week seems too high. I own a few student houses and the rental is like only $300 the best.

    Hi Fullout

Do you manage the student accom yourself, if not can you help me out with a good agency that does.

    Hi Leigh K

I’m relatively new at this but I’m selling up shop in Canberra and moving to Vic. Hoping to get into this game full time. Is there a possibility of looking at your spreadsheet? Where can I buy the software package to help crunch the numbers.[?] I hope you can help; I need a formula or check list to use. I also use the 11 second rule.

    Hi Stave

Great to hear, it given me confidents that I have bought the right book. I spent $1500.00 on a seminar in Brissy in August, I thinking I get more satisfaction from this forum, actually I’m certain I do. Current reading Jan Somers book but tonight I’ll start yours. Yippee

    Hi Jaket

I’m in Canberra and will be doing IP’s in Melbourne. I have two accountants. One in QLD and this new one in Canberra. The new one has nine IP’s himself, so I feel pretty confident with him.[:D] When I do business with these guys I just email the questions or data.
If you want I can pass you his name.

    Hi Super Ted

I like the way you think. What’s the IT industry like in Melbourne re:Support. I’m moving down from the ACT and hoping to get into IP’s. When you say you’re a trader, is that in IP’s. What is your trade? I’m hoping to offer my labor cheap, as in free to work with some tradesman to get an idea about house Reno’s. What do you think?

    Johnb

I trade mainly Options and some shares not IP’s. I dont live in Melbourne but imagine IT in Melbourne would probably be worse then Sydney.

As a former tradesman i always employed tried to employ workers/apprentices that were reliable and keen. Dont work for free, offer to work the first week for free so they can see what you are like (hit em up for lunch though ;-) then they may put you on fulltime.

email me at [email protected] if you want other opinions

That’s for the good oil, lunch sounds good to me tooooooooooo.

    Hi Everyone

I’ve never seen so much talent in the one place. My name is John if you hadn’t already guessed. Currently in the ACT and moving to Victoria round December. I was running my own pub for a while, currently in IT security and in the not to distance future renovating houses. I love getting dirty and demolishing stuff. Happily married with two crazy kids, driving my wife and I crazy.

PS Such: I think telstra are a great bunch of people. Just this morning they phoned me up just to tell me I had an Outstanding Account[:D]

    Hi MiniMogul and Mats

Thanks for the reply and the positive response. My wife and I often talk of going to NZ but with two young ones are driving us up the wall, we’ll have to wait a year or two.
It will be good to email Mats to get some reno tips when I need some advice on a job. Can you tell me where I can find info on the average or medium price of houses in Melbourne suburbs, some Mags or web site perhaps?
We are living in Canberra at the moment. You to must be excited about going to NZ for property, next it’ll be the UK!
Must go should be working ha ha. Talk soon

    Thanks Johnb

    Hi MiniMogul

After reading this topic I can understand how you got your name. I’m new at this forum stuff and property investment game and you sound so successful, it’s great. I would like your opinion or your boyfriend’s opinion. Can I work for no wages with him when he is renovating so I can learn. Obliviously I would take out protection for your boyfriend so he couldn’t be held responsible for me if there was an accident, we should be able to work something out. I’ll be moving to Melbourne round Xmas. Please consider

    Hi there people

As a newbie to this forum and to property investment all I can say is *wow*! Sooshie, Soleil, Dan the Man and the others this is great, it’s a great philosophy to share. I’m changing my career for the third time and each time I go into something complete different so the is a bit getting up to speed to be done. But once there I love sharing what I have learnt with others and watch them grow, and to me that’s satisfaction. ‘ You can’t take it with you’ Maybe I should become a teacher……..what am I saying I’ve got kids of my own, they drive me crazy, but we all need to be a little crazy some time. When we move to Melbourne at Xmas I’ll be doing this full time, with a bit of luck. I love the creating something from nothing game. So once I’ve done a few reno’s I’ll be able to contribute to this forum about building products and quick and easy tips for repairs and reno’s. Will be seeing you again. Thankyou

P.S Does anyone know where I can find the average or medium price for suburbs in Melbourne?

    Hi to Sach and Hgwells

I’m new at this game so please forgive me if I come across weird. Re property in T’wooba I hear they have increased about 30% in 18 months, don’t know why.
Need a little help. Moving to Geelong at Xmas and hoping to invest in property in the wast of Melbourne. Williamstown, Newport, West Footscray, Yarraville Sedden and Sunshine. The plan is to buy right!!!!! if I can, cheap reno job and rent out. Your opinion would be very much appreciated.

    Johnb
