Thanks for the info, I was really keen to get in there and do some of the work myself…

Are they area's a builder would generally be ok to leave for the owner to complete and still sign off on the project?

    Thanks

Sorry guys, I just got home and the invoice was in the mail, it was the owners corporation not body corporate I must have miss heard.

I take it that means its from the Strata Manager and a standard charge?

Try Anthony Gentile at Nelson Alexander Brunswick  ph9380 9755. He looks after 3 of my IP's and does a great job.

    good luck

    Hi Alistair,

Your right., I probably should have worded my post better.

I am going to source my own block, was just hoping to get someone with more experience to give me a second opinion prior to purchase. Am I right in thinking a town planner is the person to see?

    thanks

The black base (kicker) should pop out allowing you to slide it out and to cut it cleanly .

I am no expert but from what i can see in your picture the cabinet is a seperate unit, with some luck you should be able to unscrew it from the rest of the kitchen and slide it out. Cutting the shelf would make it easier to get out.

Once thats done you are almost ready for the install, if you want to be further prepared you could drill the access holes for the piping/power. I am not 100% on the location  or number of these though… Your install might be able to tell you.

    good luck

Theresa, I just paid my accountant $375 for both my own and my wifes returns.

I provide a depreciation schedule and an excel spreadsheet summary of all come and expenses.

I have 3 IP's for her to deal with and got $7600 back….

While i think i am under charged, i would have thought $1300 is a little over the top.

If your not moving appliances/sinks etc it should be a pretty straight forward job, the main delay i had was in getting glass splashbacks.

Also checkout  http://www.renovateforum.com/ you should be able to get all the help you need.

    Good Luck

Thanks Wisepearl, when i said slightly +CP I mean returning about $15K a year which is pretty good i suppose.

I think a small development project would be nice and i am pretty good with my hands ;) but i wouldnt have a clue where to start, better keep trawling this forum I suppose.
