I think we should have a meet up in every state. It could be a week long thing. Although someone needs to assign someone to carry a fire arm as you can’t be too sure with these property investors. You wouldn’t want a mass riot.

They must be! Take a drive to Point Cook. Hundreds of them, all empty. There is really no excuse to live in your car any more.

In that case, am I better off investing in Werribee ? I really don't understand how one area is good compared to another. Like people told me that Laverton is good place for investing as it is close to the freeway and all, but HC is just like a 10 min drive from Laverton. And others said Werribee is better than HC which is a bit further away from HC.

    Can anyone explain this.

Take this advice from a person that lives near the area. The traffic in Hoppers and Werribee is so bad by the time you get to work in the morning you feel like killing someone. You have people from point cook, tarneit, truganina, hoppers, werribee, etc all trying to get on the freeway and it ends up one big car park!

With Laverton you miss 95% of that becuase it's not as far in as Hoppers and werribee.

I agree with JacM. You could include Laverton to that list. The vacancy rate is really big so why do you still get people crying on A current Affair because there is a shortage of houses to rent? Doesn't make sense

Haha!!  I am of the opinion there should be a meeting of the key players on pi.com.  It shall be conducted like a celebrity heads style game.  Yes.

Actually that's not a bad idea at all!!!

Like any councils, if you know someone that works there you can pretty much do what you like. Most brimbank councilors were sacked a couple years ago due to corruption.

For under $300k you would be better off looking in Laverton. If I was a betting man I would bet my life that Laverton will increase in Value faster then hoppers crossing. Remember Laverton is zone one and easy access for the freeway.

I’d say it would be cheaper to re direct the pipes through the roof. Saves you damaging the slab, tiles, etc.

The question you need to ask your friend is have you done this with your money before? Or do you want to practice with my Money first?

I remember the days when you wouldn’t dare to mention you live in Newport, Yarraville, williamstown, etc as you would have been labeled scum. Today I don’t bother looking its that expensive. Sure traffic isn’t the best but nothing like the east.

Andrew I think you’ll find the suburbs you’ve mentioned have boomed. Even spotswood is untouchable. I agree Melbourne road is a shocker but its not deterring people from buying.

I'm actually trying this approach in Melbourne. The biggest no brainer is you need to buy them cheap and below market value. Other wise you will be wasting your time.

I also try and do most of the work during settlement. Negotiate for 2 – 3 month settlement with early access via a license agreement.
