I’ve just painted the door jambs, I ain’t smearing blood! I should have smeared the blood of the dead dog before I painted.

I was thinking of the open agency agreement but it scares me as they will put any one in so they can be first.

Just out of interest, what suburb are we talking about?

It’s in Laverton, melbourne. How do I find a witch doctor? I’m guessing It’s not as easy as opening the yellow pages?

Hi dwolfe, I’ll put the link on when I get home tonight. Can’t really fault pm, I’ve used the real estate for years now and always been good to me. She’s not too sure on the next move. People just not coming.

Remember, It’s not how much you make, It’s how you spend it. Aim to save a couple dollars per week, within a few years you will have saved more then you realise you could.

Hi Mathew, if using your parents equity fayils, are you able to save for a deposit? You could probably borrow 90% or more

I think if you have the gift of the gab, and good people skills you should do well. Sales is hard though and people will be difficult.

That’s my plan for colac. Problem is traveling from melb to colac is too far. I’m able to do 95% of the work myself but the traveling would absolutely kill me.

  • jmsrachel replied to the topic 10 Questions To Ask Your (Prospective) Broker in the forum Finance 12 years ago

Derek you make a good point about asking your broker if they are a property investor. The last 2 brokers I met weren’t property investors, in fact one of them was renting and still saving for a deposit. He was 36.

I think a good broker definitely needs a couple of IP’s under there belt.

Jacm, have you got any properties in colac? I’m contemplating purchasing something there but the area is not looking to promising for me.

Ziv, do you think it will be like property in USA where you can pick up something at a very unbelievable price? I agree with you, and it ain’t going to be small.

I learnt my lesson last month. Never use a conveyancer, always use a solicitor. <moderator: delete language> a solicitor can do something about it. My conveyancer just waved a white flag.

I wonder which period of time a house in Kew and Camberwell was only between $150 – $200k ? My guess mid 80’s?
