An $80 increase is very Steep! The most I would have increased it is $10. Once the tenant leaves then increase it to $560.

I could imagine the shock your tenant would get being told the rent will increase by $80!

I actually called the building commission today to ask them if you can build a house with a DBL. They said yes you can as long as the trades you hire are registered.

I’m pretty sure drainage for a new build is only around $4000. Like Wilko said the materials aren’t that expensive.

Wilko, what was the work for? I’m definitely in the wrong trade, cabinet makers don’t make close to that.
