I also know some people in the city who ownes mutiple places, but they do the unethical thing by overloading the apartments to make it a postive geared property.

I think good agents are worth their weight in gold. Besides, with your theory that you should look after all your affairs would mean that if you invested in other states or distance areas, you would have to personally go there for the inspection and etc.

Sydney 27 Unit- almost like a Villa I prefer to live in a house as that way no strata fee and worry about special levy increases to fix anything. I remember couple of units who have the technoloy advanced car parking system which always breaks down and per quarter it is $1500 for the owners. Avoid Merition units at all costs
