    Andrew,

Why not buy the townhouse to live in now and the house to rent it out. By doing so you have 2 options after 2 years time.

By living in the townhouse now it will be closer to where both of you work for now.

Circumstance might change, you might want to have kids in the future and would like to live in the house with bigger land and backyard. Then you can move into the house and rent the townhouse out.

If you don’t want kid then just continue to live in the townhouse where as the house is appreciate in value.

    Kind regards

Interesting enough, 2 months ago my lender asked me whether I am interested in locking the rate at current market. It cost $250 per loan. Back then I was applying for 2 loans I decided not to lock in because I believe the interest rate will stay the same….guesting game….and it is for the last 2 months.

Interest rate will fall next month…LoL

Riddle 502: Russ’s Wife is correct, Well done!
    THE ANSWER:
This is a true story from Taiwan. When the rich man reached the phone booth he found
a carrier pigeon in a cage. It had a message attached telling the man to put the diamond

When the man did this the police were powerless to follow the bird as it returned across
    the city to its owner.
