    Kay,

What will happen if suddenly you are sick and not able to work? Where can you get the money from?

I think most of us here would want to work any time and any where they want. If they want to go to beach they can choose to either go by car or other way to get there. This is the power of investing.

By just working for someone else you won’t be able to do that.

    Kind regards

I also try to quite smoking for many months now, but I am not successful yet. I quit for a few weeks then start again. This process keep going and I hope one day I will quit for good. My target date to stop smoking for good is 17 June 2004 which is my daughter 2nd years birthday. I hope I can do it this time.

    G7,
Let do it together. I am using NicabateCQ Lozenge 2mg lolly and Nicorette Step 2 10mg/16hours patch to help me. The problem is I alway forgot to use it in the morning and feel the urge to smoke.

Good luck G7 and I am sure you and I will bit the craving one day.

We will celebrate once we succeed.

Quiting is quite hard, but I am sure I can do it in the near future.

    Wish me luck.

    Kind regards

    wayne & Scott,

After doing quite a lot of researches and learning I feel the same as what you guys said.

Writing Covered Calls seem stop you from potential gain if the shares market is heading north and will lose a lot of money of the shares market heading south.

ASX run a Covered call portfolio study:
http://www.asx.com.au/markets/l4/CoveredCallProjectResults_AM4.shtm and I can see the different between normal investing and writing covered calls.

If the options is exercise and you want to buy that share/s back then you will lose money for that money because the different is quite a lot in long term.

Thanks guys and I will continue to do more study into it.

    Kind regards

If you wrote a covered BHP call and BHP took a dive, how can you be exercised? The buyer of your option will expired worthless.

Different people will have difference ideas in regarding investing, but what important is you got to have a clear goal of what you want to do.

Therefore, if you have clear goal you will know what to do with your money either into shares or property (there are no right or wrong here).

I think Robert G. Allen got a wealth of knowledges. I am sure he teach what he know best and at the same time making money. That’s life.

I also went to his introductory on 18/05/04, but I don’t think I will spent $4000 just to go to his course because I believe if I go to his seminar I don’t think I can take everything in. I rather buy home study video and so for. that way I can review the information any time I want.

Researching and learning the way to go. Open up for new opportunity and at the same time be sceptical is also ok.

    Dear All,

Thank you very much for sharing your experiences and knowledges.

Covered Calls is the strategy that Peter Spann used and I am exploring and learning all the possible options in the share market where I am not so familiar with.

I traded and invested in shares before during the dotcom boom, but that’s not count because I went in blind folded back then.

I know that covered calls will generate income if the shares go up, side way, or go down just a little bit. But if the shares heading south very fast within a month then you will lose a lot of money.

Wayne, I agreed with what you are saying and I also checked out your website a couple weeks ago. It’s great.

    Thank you one again.

PS. I can’t replied to you guys as fast as before because can’t access from work.

    Kind regards

    James,

There was about 14 pages discussed about VO before:
    https://www.propertyinvesting.com/forum/topic/6635/1.html?sortfield=&sortorder=&SearchTerms=Ollis,

    and

    https://www.propertyinvesting.com/forum/topic/9080.html?SearchTerms=Ollis,

Best advice I can give you is get a good solicitor and get out of the contract as quick as possible before you lose everythings.

Which day did you go on the tour back in January? I went on 17 & 18 of January. Maybe you were sitting next to me…lol…
