Terry is on to something here. Maybe find someone with a finger in the pie and see if they can initiate the bankruptcy proceedings.
Avoid letters or flyers. If you really want the property, have an agent approach the owner in a formal manner and start negotiations from there.
It will depend a lot on what the terms of the lease were. Check the clauses (maybe speak to your lawyer as well)
I see what you did there Terry…
If the vendor is desperate to sell then I'd certainly try and find out what he paid for it and when (as others here have suggested). Then open a dialog with him and see what can be negotiated. Maybe VF is a realistic option in this instance, and if you can negotiate the terms then more's the power. Good luck, I'll be interested to know what transpires!
I think it's fantastic and could see Australia becoming more self-sufficient.
Agree you need to check out council approval.
Also Pods are a good idea…check this out http://www.podfirst.com.au/. These companies (pick one in your local area) are familiar with councils in your area and could be a great (free) help to you.
Cheers…
Hi, Agree with Derek. Recommend you get some serious advice on trusts and structures. It is often a little more complex than you think! See if you can ask around and use a solicitor that specialises in this type of thing. I recently read a post on this (think it may have been in this forum) do a little digging and best of luck.
I have just had this conversation. How uncanny. I agree pay to get it routinely done, and save any drama.
I think garmon has upset the apple cart…..
And Scott No Mates… you are funny!
What a great idea for ground level. Well spotted.
