im not sure what would be better to do this or a course with margaret lomas company destiny, it sounds very promising but the destiny course cost a mint.

    Hi jamesw82,

Wondering if you've met with the Investing For Profit (Stephen Tolle) people and what your thoughts are?

I applied and have been put on a short list and curious what is involved. Do you know how many people are being taken into the program? What the main focus is? Also good to know if everything is at arms length and it's not a program to sell properties from development business or loans from brokerage business etc.

    Would appreciate any feedback.
hey, havent met with them face to face as we speak, but have been in contact with stephen himself a number of times he is like everyone has said a real genuine guy. just in the middle of organising a face to face meeting with him at the moment, struggling to get time of work as im in mt isa in the mines, to fly to brisbane and meet with him and i have a newborn as well so it makes it harder trying to organise car, carseat etc etc, as he wants for me and my wife to be there. I had a feeling that maybe everyone wins so i got my mate to apply as well and what do ya know he got shortlisted yesterday as well, so we'll just wait and see but i am willing to meet with stephen to see what he has to say about the whole situation.
Ill let u know more in a few days when i hear more.
    Cheers

    Regards, Ilori

It is quite obvious what the company does, have you actually read the website ?

It is quite simple do it yourself and make costly embarrising mistakes while you try and learn about what you are doing and that will take you 10 -20 years or let an expert handle it and don't make mistakes but people will always complain, because they want everything for free & you wonder why most of the population has to retire on a pension.

Stephen is offering his services for free to prove a point to Australians, he says it very clearly..

Sorry if I was blunt. I just think if it was not for the experts teaching Australians how to do it successfully, than we would only be left with Tafe & University and then that is tought by teachers who have not acheived the results that you want.

yeah i have actually mate, not that stupid hey, but anyone can get on there and promise the world just to make money out of people, im definately not going to be listening to some bloke i dont know from a bar of soap that is telling me to buy a certain property, which could be his or tied up to his business and just wants my money to line his pockets, hence why i asked ppl for their advice and thoughts. I have been in contact with stephen and he does seem like a good bloke. Cheers for your thoughts anyway mate.

    Hey,
No I haven't applied for it, I was looking at it the other week and almost applied, but wasn't sure whether it was genuine. Have you applied?

yeah i got a phone call from stephen tolle the other day to say i got accepted, but i have to fly to brisbane to meet with him and where i am it will cost me $1300 to get there and back, so im a bit worried bout wasting my money to get down there and find out i need to fork out more money for something else or be ripped off by some scam. Im just not sure bout the whole thing but he does sound genuine and like a great bloke on the phone, maybe ill just ask him a few more questions before i commit and go from there. Maybe you should apply and see how you go maybe everyone wins who knows haha. Let me know how u go?

No I do not think he is out to rip people off.  He's a genuine honest guy who has worked his butt off to get where he is today.  He does not need to rip people off as he has already done very well for himself.  I'd imagine he's keen to share his knowledge further with others to help them on their own paths in life.

yeah cheers jacm, just a bit sceptical thats all, i have to fork out over 1300 bucks to fly to brisbane to meet with him about it all and i dont want to get down there and have him say that i need to outlay some ridiculous amount of money to go any further or something like that. but going on a few responses it might well be worth the cost to fly down there and to go through with this so called apprenticeship, as i am pretty green when it comes to property investing. cheers

being from the gc 435k for a unit at coomera is ridiculous mate your getting ripped, at the moment gc is struggling mostly because of the way tourism is at the moment and i reckon because of all the bad publicity you hear bout the gc at the moment too, crime rate is out the roof and everyone is running from that area, coomera being the one of the worst areas for it too. but a few years back i heard that some asian mob was building a massive cbd out at coomera but havent heard of anything for awhile, and if mayor ron clark gets the FIFO contract he applied for and the gc gets the commonwealth games i feel the market on the coast will slowly pick up again. But that 435k for a unit is ridiculous mate, ill sell you my 3 bedroom housewith inground pool on a 750sqm block for that and its at oxenford closer to the big shopping centres and railway station then coomera for that price haha.

Sell Gold Coast and buy 2 in Dysart.

Even though the Gold Coast airport is only months away from signing a contract to have flights to all the mining centres for fly in fly out workers? Why buy two in Dysart Matt?

Hi Josh, Sorry, just saw this post. If they do fly in fly out, where do the workers stay during the working week? Houses in Dysart, or are they setting up additional worker camps?

matt im not saying i wouldnt go for a 14% haha, just a bit worried about Dysart now because of FIFO, their talking about building camps for the workers which would phase out Dysart. But from what i hear there is alot of mines based around Dysart so im not sure if this is intended for all of them or just one. Im now thinking of buying one in Emerald first then 6 months down the track buying my next in Dysart if it isnt to late, fingers crossed.

na ill keep the coast one for a bit longer, its doing alright. So josh u prefer emerald more so then Dysart? A safer bet maybe. Im looking for a rental yield of around 7% not getting to fussy haha. Im very new to this game, i just want early retirement,am currently living and working in Mt Isa and am very over it and want to get back to the coast haha. Real estate is my get out card.

James, Yes i have a lot of properties there and my company gets bulk deals with local builders and developers (although no land available right now for the public) which we then sell to our clients. If you're interested in my research/experience in the area and what I have for investors there PM me. No stress but thought I would put the offer there for you. Emerald services a lot of the CQ mining industries and will also benefit from Galillee basin developments int he coming years. Harvey Norman is opening up there, Bunnings looking for a site still. Woolworths building a $120m shopping complex with a 2hectare big W in it! It is further becoming the regional hub of the Central Highlands and will boom in my opinion. Cheers

Thanks mate you will be hearing from me thats for sure haha. Cheers

Looking at buying my second investment property, my first being on the gold Coast. I am looking at getting my second one in Dysart, have i missed the boat or is it still a recommendation. I hear they are looking at signing a big contract for fly in fly out workers, will this affect the rental properties there.
