Thanks for all the replies. Still having issues to get them to rectify some errors in the management fees calculation.
Its pretty simple to calculate and not sure why they don’t get it and still insist they are right.

Just a random thought, but are you allowing for GST in your % calculations?

No Gst is not included in the calculation.

Thanks all for the advice. Just received my monthly statement and I have been charged more than 7% again for the management fees.
This is really frustrating. It seems they do not know how to count properly.

    Hi Terryw,

Thanks for the link. My solicitor said that secondary dwelling is not considered a main building and should have no problem. Would you agree?

    Hi,

Whats the normal charges for depreciation schedule?

Received a quote from BMT for $770 for a house that has an estimated depreciation of 3500-4500. Sounds a bit expensive.

No PPOR. Renting works for now.

    Hi Jamie,

Thanks for your help. Looking to fund the property with savings. No equity from other property, first buy.

I've read about deposit bond in other forum. How does it work? Would I use a deposit bond for my 10% deposit during contract exchange?

Will I save significant tax from using the bond?

    :)

    Thanks Wilko :)

Would I be able to get a significant tax depreciation by using deposit bond rather than cash for initial deposit?
