Yeah i just looked at Yabonza. Thanks for that. Their reviews may not be the best but at least they are real and more transparent. Very hard to find a discount agency with great reviews. I guess you get what you pay for. I’ll stay on the Hunt. Thanks for the update.
I agree RentCover has been the best Landlord Insurance out of all the ones that I have had. Never going back to the banks for insurance for this kind of income / tenant protection again
I Agree there are heaps of disrupters coming out but the tech guys need to be “Real Estate” guys and if the two actually get together and share and collaborate together then we might have a chance of making some good changes.
It will be the way we interact with agents and property managers that will change as the tech becomes more “trustworthy” less need for personal interactions. Just my 2 cents anyway
Also be very careful in the Moreton Bay Shire Council. I know of friends that caught up in a fight between Local and State Council. Builder compiled with State Government Rules but Local council wouldn’t have a bar of it. In the end they got theirs through but I hear there are still hundreds in dispute. Logan and Ipswich City Council have different rules but still letting then, just make sure you choose an area that isn’t oversupplied
If you are the kind or person that will make the Mark Rolton system work, then you don’t need Mark Rolton because you already are savvy in this space.
If you are just getting going and want to learn, there are plenty of other options, research and property knowledge to be had first. Mark’s concepts to be implemented in full require you to spend ALOT more on his training and info then you will most likely get in return.
This is what i look for on all of my properties. No one has a Crystal ball for Growth but you can damn sure work out what the property will cost you or make you from Day 1. Solid Strategy and one i subscribe to.
Right now S/E QLD is providing the best Bang for Buck.. The trick is which area is the best right now….. Research is everything and hard to beat local on the ground knowledge.
I have 4 investments out there. Any action in the area is welcomed…. They have never really performed that well.. Bought them cheap enough but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone… If a mine or some other secondary employment opened up, that would change my thinking
Here are some great articles and videos on the Gladstone Investment Market and the area in general.

My two cents worth.
Meet with all the groups that offer free advice that want to sell you something and listen to 4 – 5 and either run with the best option you find or use their advice as a starting place and do your own research from there..

Smoke and mirrors people.
Here’s $10,000 in one hand for building brand new house and land in QLD but don’t watch what the other hand is doing… Taking the xtra 2% of every other transaction.
Convenient dont you think that 6 months is about the time that Anna Bligh needs for people to calm down and then once the “gift” is over the QLD government will continue to take 2% for many many years.
Time to remove Anne Bligh quickly because all it will do is help builders for a very short time but stifle the rest of the market for a long time.
Just a thought but seem like a magicians trick if you ask me
I also found this Video on Gladstone which I thought might be helpful.
Hey guys
Read that stuff about Gladstone on Terry Ryder. Pretty amazing what is going on there.
The site that this post is about had some interesting articles re Gladstone to.

Workers earning heaps more money, hugh under supply issues.
Sounds like Gladstone is the place to be.. Well done for the people that got in early or have the chance to get in before all these workers land.
From the data that i have read at least 10,000 workers ( Plus Family ) hitting Gladstone from now till the end of year. That is just from the Santos and BG Group RE: LNG Pipeline
Hey Darren,
Gladstone would be difficult to find property now at that price, maybe Calliope.
Not sure where you could find houses there at the moment because its mainly brand new house and land packages and its pretty crazy here.
I often read through some info on NPA maybe they could find something.
Good Luck

Yep….. Gladstone is one town that is going off at the moment.. My family currently live there, moved a while ago for work. Lucky they bought when they did because the local agents are saying that rents will go to $1000 p.w. but early next year… Crazy…..
Cheers
