I don't have that much to do with Mt Tamborine but it is definately more expensive than Beaudesert or Jimboomba and surrounds. There is a relatively new development which is growing rapidly to the west of Jimboomba township called Flagstone and prices there have been upwardly mobile for some time now although still affordable and on large blocks. The new release of land is now for smaller blocks. I just sold a tired 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home on 1/4 acre for $285k and some on 1/2 to 1acre are still available around the early to mid $300k's.

We currently have a Coles store with new shopping centre being built in Jimboomba township (already have Woolworths) and there is a new development to house 35,000 people over the next few years due to start late this year. Search for Yarrabilba on the net and there is a government site that shows what is happening there. This will be just about 4 minutes from Jimboomba Township.

Massive growth in this area and just 20 minutes to the new Orion satellite shopping centre and uni at Springfield.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi millions,

I sell real estate in the Beaudesert Shire and have noticed the increasing prices in Kooralbyn and amount of building that is currently proceeding. I believe it is a difficult call to expect Kooralbyn to become a hotspot as it is such a long drive for aging baby boomers to get to even a decent size supermarket and services, with Beaudesert being the nearest. It is a bit of an anomaly though as you would expect a place that has a great golf course and huge resort already in existence to take off such as the likes of Hope Harbour and Sanctuary Cove. They are a little closer to amenities though and of course waterfront will always draw the crowds. A tough one that I have also been mulling over.

I wish you well in your investment forays and … have you considered Jimboomba? I have further information on that area if you are interested.

    Regards,
