    I checked with Mum and she cannot rcall the exact numbers on the house move as this was part of an overall reno and it was a few years back. At the time she was based in rural NSW and did not have difficulty finding the right guys to do the lift.

    Agree with other posters on checking with coucil………. good place to start

    Hi, My mother moved a house from the very rear of a block where you stepped out the back door and fell over the back fence :(

    There are specialist house movers around that often buy and sell relocatable houses and they can be contracted to move your house for you. As with everything, get a few quotes, check out their work and talk with some previous clients to get feedback.

    In my Mum's case she was able to maximise the space of the lot, add value to the property and realise a considerable capital gain. And the property sold to the first couple to view it.

    I suggest you start with google and maybe talk with local hardware stores and such, though i suppose you may not get much info if your local H/W is large, green and starts with B which are a little more like hardware supermarkets.
