With the cover mouldings you need to have them removed and fill the gap with external filling compound, or you could use cement. Can you tell me how big you bathroom area is, and where everything is at the moment. You would be surprised at what kind of things you do in a bathroom, there is alot of options, if you want a toilet and bath and possibly a shower you might be able to do it.

If you are only doing a small reno and extension you may only need a draftsman to draw up a plan of the extension and the reno, architects are better suited to designing new buildings or redisgning old ones. unless it is a major reno you don’t need a architect. Builders can also be of help, find someone you can work with and who has some ideas to offer.

What size is the bathroom, you could be surprised with what you can fit in it. Have you thought of a corner bath, or shower, it could also allow you to put in another toilet. if you are renovating are you increasing the size of the bathroom?

I would just go with the colourbond extensions you can get them in the 2 feet extra that you want to increase the fence, you can also get a kind of lattice extension but in colourbond or a hardiplank type which you can get already painted so you dont have to do anything but just put it up.
