Hi,
I have done a sub division. It involves the following.
Application to the council.
Getting approval
Approval could be conditional which may require the followingInstalling different sewage and rainage etc.
preparing a drawing by a surveyors.
Registering the plans with the Land titles office.If are not sure employ a land developer.

Hi,
I sucessfully did one and this is what I learnt,
1.Always talk to the council first.
2. If they are not very reluctant employ a consultant who has experience in dealing with the council. Always worth employing experts.
3. Consider the effort you make and the money you spend will give you reasonable benifit.
4. Never quit on the first “no”.
5. Most Councils don’t like subdivisions but if you work on your proposal carefully you can find ways to meet most of their concerns easily.Good luck
