Alas I am not the one….but guarantors are one way of having that happen.
You are way ahead of me too. My parents had (and to the most part still have) no idea how to handle money. I hope my children come to me with a proposal for how they can get into the investment side of things when they get to your age.

If you read this months Australian Property Investor you will see that being young should be no hinderance to investing but sourcing finance without a savings/employment track history can be hard. That’s usually where you need to start thinking about how you can get the bank to take you seriously…..or get them to trust that someone else can cover your debts if you can’t

My daughter turned 13 this week. In celebration I dyed her hair purple and bought her a Fender electric guitar.
When I turned 13 ….well my daughter gets to do a lot that I did not do
She goes to a private school and is allowed to a) have friends and b) have friends over or stay at her friends places.
I would be horrified if she got pregnant or was having sex) at this age and would be disappointed with her if she was older as she is smart enough to know the consequences of those type of actions.
Her education is important but not the be all of her life.

Misconceived ill-reported and libellous articles, like the SMH one appears to be, used to put politician’s children through private schools or a nice tennis court out the back. I hope those who’s reputations have been damaged by these “stories” take legal action to ensure that you can’t just ignore the truth to pillory an individual.

Some people, when ordering food in a restaurant, will look at the food choices side of a menu and some at the prices side. If you are doing well then the assumption would be you would be looking at the food not the prices.
I can’t tell you what it’s like Tim, I am still having to look at the right hand side.
