    I don;t think Stephens would have won it – and in many years to come, he will look back and say ‘because of me, Thorpe won that medal for Australia – because of me’ and he will feel alot prouder than he would if swam the race himself.

    Hi Rufus,

    No Tamara not really – some lenders will give you 90% and if you have equity here, lenders here in Aus will give you 100%. Thus, you can use an Australian Bank.

    valid point Jamie – but I think it should be allowed and moderators to moderate the forum. and if each party does their due diligence – they will make sure there is no shark out to get them and Steve should clearly state ( if he were to add this to the site) that he is not liable for any transaction between two parties…

    What’s happened to the banks – where are the days of old where they were here for the people and not for the people’s money… It’s sad…

    It will say in the contract that the current vendor will pay the rent if rent fails to be paid.

    Before you set up the stucture, I would investigate properties first as I see no point in spending so much time and money to set up a Trust or any other structure only to not purchase any properties…

    Either way, try speaking with Westan or Muppet – they might have some good answers. They’re based in NZ and Westan used to be a Victorian….

    Hey DOM,

    not sure also if you got this sorted out.

    Two things:
    1 – if you got a building report stating that your property has never caused any damage to your neighbour, then I wouldn’t pay it. As long as you’ve got something in writing, you should be safe.

    2 – Try to offer a compromise – you don’t want to lose their value. They could be good neighbours who report to you when something happens to your property. And the opposit works, if you don’t offera compromise, they can backfire on you and destroy your property.

    It’s a catch 22 situation…
