Hi Dangermouse,
well heres u=an un-biased opinion I guess.
I’m from Vic and travelled to NZ ( in particular the South Island) and whilst there, I drove upto Invercargill nad had a good look around. It looked promising and that’s what the agents re-affirmed aswell.
There is growth there in population, work (factories) schools and a university. I believe it’s a true promising area although it has a population of 50k.

Hi Ron,

would like to know which area it was in and the interest rate you got.
share your experience on it – break down the costs and let us know how you went…if you don’t mind.
thanks

I also tend to agree with Monoploy but anything is possible…just work your brains out.

Absolutely right – it is very hard for instiutions to lend you without showing a track record of work for almost 2 years. Howvere it is possible – How do I know – cause after much of weaving around, I managed to do it. In the end I just got letters from my employer (I was friends with management) stating how many hours I do there per week and how much I earn.
And just keep studying, reading anything you can. Don’t bother paying for ‘courses’.This is also correct – just read books, associate yourself with like-minded people and grill them with questions and attend FREE seminars until your financially ok to pay for one.

Property is always a good thing if you get the right property with the right deal and the figues add up. Remember, the 11 second equation is NOT a rule – it is only a guide. You can fnd something that has a 4% return and turn it into a 14% return – be creative in your deal-making.

Hi Scullie,
It all depends – how long have you got left to repay your loan off? How much have you paid? How much equity do you have in the property and is this enough to service deposits for other properties. These are some of many questions you need to ask yourself. If it was me and I had only a little while to go to pay off my PPOR, I would do this first – that way you secure something that banks cannot take away from you.
Also in my view, it’s always best to not delay – if you found a good deal, then I would find a way to get hold of it – the choice is your.Hope this helps

well its all good responses…[baaa]
I too went to a seminar recently for 4k and had to fly to sydney for it aswell. It was a total waste of time and I got my money back as it came withy the guarantee. I went to George Mihos seminar a few days ago and he was promoting his seminar in October for 3 – 8k but also comes with a no-satisfaction money back guarantee – no questions asked.
I Agree with Pelican totally – it all comes down to action.
Kind Regards,
George
P.S: Pelican – I think you should write your story as an inspiration to others. That’s a huge achievement to turn 3k into 700k – WOW!I’ve found a way to help you save and earn whilst not selling or delivering any product. If interested, drop me an email or PM me to find out how

Hi Derek,
sorry mate, but I went to his seminar a few nights ago and disagree. He came across as honest and sweared that the media has mis-represented him in having any connecetion with HK. Apparently (according to GM) the only connection he ever had with him is when GM took HK to court (not for any relation to being an associate) and the matter was resolved with an out of court settlement.
Ofcourse, he had to promote his 3 – 8k seminar being held in October at the end of his presentation but hey if you don’t like his 3-day seminar, you can get your complete money back minus $295 administration fee – no questions asked. I thought that was reasonable as long as you can get the refund if you are not satisfied.

Why do we, the public, fork out ludicrous amounts to attend seminars? Because we are also greedy. We think the presenter is going to lead us to the holy grail of wealth.…you said it all…that’s exactly it!

Interesting comments guys.
In the end thiugh it alwyas seems that we’re in a no-win situation no matter who gets the top job.
They both twist the truth except that Latham is more bold in his views although if he does become PM, he will be crawling back to the US saying he’s sorry for his comments. I guess I just didn’t like how Howard went to war without the approval of the UN.[angry2]
