Wow, lot’s of good information in this thread. I am looking forward to getting back into the property investing game after a decade of putting it off. I cannot put off my passion any longer and I am excited at the adventure that lies ahead!
Gotcha!, thanks mobile mortgage, i understand now, so basically it is better because the interest is now not tax assessable, where as in say ING Direct savings maximiser it is, is that right?
Also, why wouldn’t you just use the $5000 to pay off the principal, surely that would be a better option, if you didn’t need the money in the short term?
I was wondering whether savings accounts like the ING Direct savings maximiser will have rate increases which are the same as what the reserve bank does,
for instance, if the reserve bank pushed ratyes up by another 0.75% next year, would the ING Direct rate go from 5% to 5.75%?
Congratulations Richmond~, great stuff, I’m sure you’ll be fine, I’m not married, but in our relationship if we ever leave on bad terms the next time we meet we sort out the problem straight away, communication is essential, then we are fine for our day(s) together.
It is a bit different for you as you would be living together and not 100km away like us, but i think the fundamentals are the same.
There was nothing worse then when we didn’t sort things out until the end of a day together, and for the whole day, we were not ourselves towards eachother and didn’t have a very enjoyable time together.
Well, not when I may need quick access to my money, ING is very flexible, and there is no bank fees ever, and you do not lose interest if you transfer money out of your savings maximiser, and interest is calculated daily.
I have no problem with public schools, i went to a public school, Gisborne Secondary college, and i scored 93.55 enter. What’s more i was only the 7th highest score, 6 others got higher than me, so that shows that you can still do well if you go to a public school.
I was interested when i read in the paper that since the clash between gillespie and s waugh in 1999 that s waugh had been suffering from constant migranes which were steadily geting worse until late last year when he got his skull looked at and they made some adjustments and now he is fine.
To think all that time when he was out of form and i wanted him to go, he was out there batting with a migrane, i can’t believe him, what a champ!
There is never a time where you can’t talk about footy! What do you want me to talk about, how Australia will beat India 5-0 in the upcoming series, is it a 5 test series?
We are waiting to finish our Uni degrees. I am completing accountancy at RMIT in Melbourne. Broz is doing Nursing-Midwifery at Latrobe Bendigo. For the summer break though I am working as a manager at IGA Gisborne, full time to save up some $$$$.
That’s about it for the moment, just scanning through the real estate papers and learning as much as i can from the forum!
We both still have 2 years left of our uni degrees, so we were going to wait a couple of years anyway, it will be very interesting to see where the property market is at that time..
Melbear, can you explain in more detail how you refinance, i still haven’t really got what it’s all about, like you refinanced to 80%, what % was it before, and how does it free up the cash to buy the second?[]
