    Nesta,
I sold my house last weekend thru http://www.housemart.com.au Cost $550 and they supplied all the paperwork, signs etc. If you go to their site, then WA, then Mandurah Marina you will see my little terracotta coloured townhouse. Probably saved myself around $18,000 in commission. Was also a bit of fun to say that “I did it myself.” Housemart are…[Read more]

A leaky roof is not a major structural problem or anything to get too worried about.

I really do not understand what you mean by “assigning contracts” but the whole issue of ethics in real estate is a touchy one. I recently put my PPOR on the market – private sale thru housemart.com There were a couple of reasons why I wanted to sell. One was because I recently got married and if I sold now I would not attract CGT. The other…[Read more]

I think it is important with PI to have a diverse range of investments. That is why we added the retirement village to our portfolio. We also have an inner city apartment, house and land, and a development block which currently has an old house on it, but is zoned R40 for a four unit development in the future. Whether we personally develop it or…[Read more]

    Hi Humboldt,
We are about to finalise purchase of a couple of aged care units in Qld. We have quite a diverse portfolio and this is just one of our investments. The bank has treated it as a residential proposition but only lent 70%. The two dwellings are side by side so eventually when hubby and I get to geriatric status we can move in and…[Read more]

Are we gonna have a get together while recoveryman is over or what? My suggestion is breakfast at Freo E shed markets on the Saturday morning. (9.30?) That’s central for those from Mandurah and those in the Northern subs. Any other suggestions?

Slightly off topic…. Make sure you have a good landlords protection policy too so that if he does default or damage the property you are covered.
