I guess the main thing here is to work out exactly what your goals are. Why do you want to move to Sydney? Could you live there without getting a job first? Newie seems like a much nicer place to live I reckon!

Getting rid of your pets? I agree with Anita, it would be just like getting rid of your kids!

If you inherited the animals as well as the house, I can tell you from experience, that it’s not an easy decision to make to give the animals away!!!!! How well do you handle guilt?

But, as the others suggest, you could easily use the equity in your PPOR to borrow money to buy in Sydney, but without getting a more permanent job first, I imagine this would be very difficult?????

I repeat my comments above – work out what your goals are. Why would you leave Newie and live in Sydney?

    Hi Luckyone,

I would highly recommend Marilyn / Stacey from First National at Kambah Village. I was originally a tenant in one of the properties they managed and then I came back to haunt them as an owner and used them as my PM’s – very tough cookies! I had the townhouse for 3-years (have now sold my IP but will use them again when I get back into the IP market), in the time that they managed my property, I had 3 different tenants but I never had a day vancant! I had to put off one tenant for 2 days so that I could get in the door to re-do the bathroom cabinet and paint the place between tenants.

    Good Luck!

    Hey Aussie Kid,

I agree with Derek – not only because I’m the Mother of two teenagers, but also, as a reminder to all of the importance of setting goals and having realistic and achievable plans.

I’d be really keen on hearing your story. How did you save so much (this is fantastic, not just at such a young age, but I think for any age)? What jobs did you do to get that sort of money? Who/what motivated you?

    Well done,

Have made a few +ve moves in the past 48 HOURS – am seeing Mortgage Broker tomorrow and have finally managed to commit accountant to seeing me Thursday. Have managed to hold off loans officer gettig me to sign anything yet until have spoken to accountant! On top of this, the vendor of my new place has contacted me and wants to rent back off me for 3-months plus so that answers some of my prayers! Will allow me a few additional months to offload (oh, I mean sell) my PPOR.

Wish I’d found this forum months ago when I had a different Real Estate issue!

Have very much enjoyed reading all the comments and messages flying around cyber-space and will visit often[sunny].

    Cheers
