Hey Mista rephrase that!
What about retirees who are on benefits?
What about those that bought porperties in outback areas as holiday homes or even their own place, just to escape the rat race, only the rat race caught up, so the merit, and then pushed up the values.I know a few in this position, and the value of their property is such they now…[Read more]

I have learned that 24 hours can last indefinitely!
I learnt how to copy photos to a new program and straight to cd’s for my family. Been scanning old black and white (as the family historian) and have now organised it all, oh goodie, better save before the comp crashes.
I learnt that I can sleep past 6am
I am even learning to like NRL….oh did…[Read more]elves replied to the topic valuers in the forum General Property 20 years, 7 months ago

Absolutely agree Steve. We were told GST would replace many hidden taxes as well but how many of you know the difference?
When I sold gifts in a store, ornaments were made out like salt and pepper shakers, this was then to avoid the added tax, in them days…it vaired according to what the product was and what it was to be used for. So if they…[Read more]

The tax man is always looking at ways to increase the coffers on the pretense (my opinion) of whatever is topical at the time, be this health transport or something else. Trouble is despite NSW having a huge population and we being I beleive a very highly taxed state, the systems they say need the extra funding have been crying out for years. I…[Read more]

interesting read, thanks for the info.
I know there appears to be panic for tenants, but lets face it there is panic for those investors now faced with this tax. Just because people are investors does not necessarily mean they are rich or can afford it either.

interesting isn’t it?
Years ago, when there was service in a “service station” when the price of petrol was somewhat lower and in gallons, $2 was considered the normal amount to spend. $5 was somewhat like serving the rich and get a truck where they spent $50!!! wow …..the queues for petrol miles long, even days, odd days…..where you washed…[Read more]

Its on the news now about the investors flocking to sell, esp mums and dads, says that up north are waiting for us!
It also mentioned NZ, but couldnt hear that too well from here
They reckon there is rental glut and this will keep us all fair if we hold and try to hike up the rents
