    Hi Gavin,

My question is the same as Mihovi's: where are you at with these now ?

Do you still have them or are they out of your life ?

    Hi Engelo,

Great video, you may have to start your own tv show.

    Hi Moxi,

Good on them for trying to better there lives !

I guess there must be some angle to the Dam saga, I'm not sure what it may be, but this infrastructure is definately needed for the mining growth in CQ.

    Hi Lesley,

If you could afford too, I would strongly advise buying or building a hotel or motel here,  I live in Mackay and have heard so many times how people cannot get accommodation.

The Qld mining expo is on here today through until Thursday and I'll bet you would not find a room anywhere close to Mackay probably not even Sarina which is the closest town ( 30 min away ).

Houses are pretty much the same, rentals are difficult to come by as there are plenty of applicants.

As Anthony said above, the numbers just stack up.

    Hi RyanJD & xdrew,

Thanks for the link and previous experience, my wife has read your posts and my ears are hurting a lot less, Thank you  !

In our house we have an on-suite from our bedroom which I believe is a big contributor to the mould there, and some of the house has timber slat type blinds instead of glass windows, so when you open them up there is only a mossie screen between the inside and the outside.
Due to the amount of rain we have had, we rarely open these up which leaves the house dark most of the time and unventilated, we do open these when the days are good and dry.

We have now decided to purchase another dehumidifier for the main living area and bring the moisture content down and hopefully with the La Nina phasing away and the El Nino moving in, the dry weather cycle may be our saviour.

What a pain in the butt the mould has been.

The picture below was from RyanJD's link,          OMG    !

    Hi tmmmystej,

There could hardly be a better example of this than the way Rowling has almost everyone, with the exception of Harry, show their fear and respect for Lord Voldemort by refusing to say his name.

    Hi mickadee,

There is an piece in the paper on a 5 billion investment for Perth, but I couldn't advice on any future mining in WA.

Qld has some potentials within the Galilee basin, but there are no guarantee's in this financial climate.

    Good luck !

    Hi jayc,

The fine/penalty for not having a safety switch installed is only one issue, in the bigger picture you may find your insurance may decide not to cover you if it is proven that the lack of an rcd was a contributor to an electrical fault burning your IP to the ground.

There is also the duty of care to your tenants to consider, you may find you are also liable in the case of a death by electrocution, where a safety switch could have saved your tenant or their children's life.

I am a property investor and a qualified electrician (Qld), and I would really advise getting the rcd installed to give you that piece of mind.

    Hi Ziv,

It's not mine, I would love to have one, but I probably couldn't afford to run it.

    Hi Ryan,

When they do move out make sure you change the locks, in-case they have cut a spare.

    Good luck . .
