Well. I’ve looked through all the available savings accounts and decided on a savings maximiser ING DIRECT account. I recieved the infopack today and have read through it all(including the product disclosure statement). I’m going to fill it out and send it in very soon and then my good financial decisions of my life will have begun.(except that 8K i saved from working at maccas in 19months).
Thank you everybody great help all.
Thanks Meeg balance is very difficult in my life at the moment, juggling between family, friends, relationship, work, study and even time to myself is very difficult and when i add in that im starting to become obsessed with property investing, there is just not enough hours in the day for everything. I may have to stop sleeping(nah joking), thats one thing i will always love, a nice relaxing long sleep, hmm preferably with my girlfriend .
Thanks Terry those sites were good, so much more to see.
Cata, My copy of bulletproof asset protection is coming in the post and i should have it in a few days, cost me only 25bucks compared to the 60 in the shop(super bargains).
Ah i get it now. So my income will be working full time to reduce my interest that i pay, while i use the banks money to fund my lifestyle(though i will have to keep to strict spending regimes as that credit can become bad if it is not paid off).
This seems like common sense, why is no one i know doing it. Hmm, they might just not like talking about their debt and instead chat about their ultra-depreciative vehicle they have sitting in the front yard(dollars rotting in front of your eyes).
hmm, so this is how I see it.
You grab a credit card and max it out by transferring the money to an 100% offset account, reducing your monthly repayments but also remembering to take that money back when you need to(free-days expire).
I feel I am on the wrong track to you guys.
[green]g’day again,
Did you know that you are eligible to work casually or permanent part-time, or full-time in a government job that pays an entry-level $15ph wage (which increases every year) with double-time on Sundays and time and a half on Saturdays, as well as other penalties and allowances. It is a unionised workforce which will not exploit the fact that you are younger. Also did you know that there is a huge demand for more staff in this growing department, and that you can totally design your shifts around your uni commitments?
Bravesparrow
I have PM’d Bravesparrow but i am not getting a reply. Does anyone know the anymore about what he is talking about?
Well yesterday she seen all of my investment property books that i have bought.
And she knows im not one to read, so it was wierd to her that i was so interested. I will lend her rich dad poor dad soon, when i talk to her a little bit more about it.
Ok, i just went to that ING website, and looked at the savings maximiser account with a 5.85% interest rate.
Um, what fees do we pay, if this place has no fees how does it run.
Are there any catches, what are they?
Ive also just got them to post out an information pack to me, so i will be getting that on i think monday.
Yea, but how do i go about changing the ownership to me, will it cost anything. WIll i have to have the rego/insurance in my name for the car to be of use on my assests/liabilities sheet(i dont think so, but just to be sure).
So i can trya nd vendor finance, and pay the vendor the going rate on a normal mortage loan. That menas i can get my deposit and i wont be paying extra interest. Though vendor finance is hard to find(is it?).
Um, it being unemcumbered. Well its not unemcumbered for me, its unemcumbered for my mum. She purchased it(like on the forms) and i payed her and payed her back(the rest). So its in her name, so is the insurance and rego.
Um, when I finish paying her off, what happens. also what happens with the ownership, insurance and rego when looked at with the assest/liabilities(the whole loan situation).
1 word for you Equity. Equity is your friend, use him/her(it?) to secure more and more properties. Selling can secure more but you will essentially be losing part of your profits throught the selling costs. Good luck.
Thanks V8 that post helped me heaps.
Yea i guess I learned from my mistakes and my car cost me 17k, I am planning on having it 10+years, so its not all that bad(if i was to buy brand new every 3 years that would be a different story).
Well, when i bought it I had 8K saved up(let me just say thats from working at maccas for 19months and i saved up 8K, very disciplined i was) and so i owed 9k, my parents let me borrow the 9k from them interest free(yippie) and so i have been paying it off $400 a month, and so the bill is 1300, almost gone. Then it will be unencumbered, correct?
Thank you everyone.
its funny you picked up on that, good observation. I didnt even know i was being all creative. I’m not usually but im just so into all this property stuff im loving it.
100%+ on a normal home loan. Huh, dont you get LMI.
How can this happen, do you have to have really good income or something??
