Try Gumtree for your area.  Lots of retired tradies or travelers use this site to get some extra cash.

Wow I can't believe you only have 3 responses.   I guess the wording  "investing clubs"  as apposed to "groups" who are interested in property investing who "meet regularly"  for discussions, guest speakers etc.

Only got 2 things to say here.  Who made Jenman and Ryder GOD.   I don't recall reading any positive comments about anyone they have written about.  Yet so many people take note of what they write.

I do agree with previous comments,  If the person is not trying to pressure sell you anything and their education is free or low cost then go along.  Sometimes someone will say something that just may save you thousands of Dollars.    At the end of the day someone who speaks on occasion and makes their money walking their talk is a good start.  The other character point I use is the person being available to speak with on the phone.  As like Steve is,  Dymphna is readily available to speak with.

    Hi Sabrina and others,

I did have a bank of Washington Account who were great, no account keeping fees, only had to conduct 1 transaction per year  however they amalgamated with (or were taken over by ) Chase who charged $15 per month account keeping fees, as I was not in the US (or actively spending in the US at the time, and my contact person was no longer there the account was closed

Citibank was mentioned by Tommy Senator at the last Mega Conference.  I attended the Brisbane branch and they stated it could be done but I would have to do all the mediation with Citibank in the US and they would only act as the go between, ie sight id and fax necessary paperwork.  Catch was the initial deposit had to be quiet substantial, at least $50K .    I didn't follow through with this as I thought I would try alternatives – like go to the US.

Maybe Tommy might be able to explain a bit further on Citibank..

    Cheers

    IMHO

I personally would check out your local solicitors,  from my experience they are between $600 and $900.

I have had previous experience with Conveyancy Works and when things go all ok they are great but don't expect any assistance from them if things are not.  I purchased a property a few years back and on inspection the day prior to settlement I found the property in a trashed state (disgruntled tenants).  Conveyancy Works would not let me speak to their solicitor (all their work is done by *office staff`)  and it ended up costing me $5k in repairs.

I just tried to get into this site and you need a username and password. I went in to residex and signed up as a free user but have not subscribed to any reports. Do you have to be a paid up subscriber to residex to use this site?

    Hi Skpola

Any IT person (anyone over the age of 12) should be able to download the tape onto the computer and then burn a CD for you. I personally don’t know how but have heard of heaps of people that do.

To tbe best of my understanding with copyright rules, so long as you have purchased a copy you are allowed to make yourself a backup copy.

    Good Luck D

    Hi Craig

I am not an admin person but thought I’d share something that recently happened to me. I don’t know a lot about the cyberworld but I created a new email address the other day and have not given it to anyone, not personally or registered it anywhere and I have had thousands of spam email sent to it.[:(] Must be the luck of the drawer as I have another address that gets very little spam.

    Just my view
