The quote depends on a number of factors, property type, replacement value, location, age, etc so it’s hard to tell is $340 is good but generally speaking, it does seem very low.

Careful with Newcastle. There has been a lot of hype and excitement built up by media and so called property experts but we have already seen significant rises in property prises over the past 6 months and I believe things will start to flatten out..employment market is not as strong, mining has slowed down, looks like T4 won't go ahead, etc.

"They were endlessly baffled by my Australian tax return and even more confused by the fact that it was actually day time in Australia when it was night time in the US."

Some Americans are really this stupid….they probably thought you were from Austria.

    Property Scout
Don't knock 888 as they actually provide houses at better rates than some of the US so called 'Wholesalers'

    Check this house out:

Jay – How does $5k downpayment with interest free loan repayments work? In other words how do you make you money…? Is it through the rehab, property management, selling above market rate?

Michigan, Georgia and Florida all have over 10% unemployment…I was looking into these states but now I am not sure….

    Hi guys,

Has anyone bought a place in Atlanta from Bronwyn and Michael at Top Rental Returns (www.toprentalreturnsusa.com) and successfully had a tenant renting the place??

They have clearly sold lots of properties in the 45-60k range….BUT there is a complete lack of data and transparency about the number of succesfully tenanted places and the rent they have actually secured.

I'm tempted to buy, but cannot get any rental stats from them about actual rentals achieved.

Their videos crack me up!!!  It's like watching those over the top infomercial or something similar.
