Hi all,
I never cry at movies, yeh ice queen, however one movie really had me bawling..Bridges of Maddison County. It killed me, must have hit close to home I guess.
My favourite comedy is Geisha Boy/Girl (not sure), with Jerry Lewis. Gotta love the rabbit
Worst movie for me was Armegeddon, went to the movies with my sister and we laughed all the way through it, no-one else seemed to be laughing though…..found out later it wasn’t meant to be a comedy [

You should take pride in yourself in the fact that you are out there fending for yourself and not relying on others for help. You should get a great deal of satisfaction from that.
You wouldn’t want to be one of those people who rely on the government to look after them, beleive it is their right and end up getting nowhere in life.

I understand where you are coming from AoreEstate.
Although the kids get some money for doing their chores, they also do other things, like clean their rooms, which they are not paid for. We also give them money sometimes for special treats.Kids do need to be taught how to invest their money.
I have read RK’s books.
You still have to do some kind of work, to earn some kind of money, so that you can invest it as you choose and build up your assets.I guess my reasoning comes from our line of work. My husband is a self employed plumber. We have had 5 different apprentices over the last year. Not one lasted more than six weeks. They seem to have no desire to work. Plumbing is manual labour and not easy work, but maybe if they could turn up more than 4 days out of 5, or within say 15 minutes of their requested start time, it would help!
Now i am rambling. I guess I just want to instil in my children a satisfaction and some reward for a job well done. If you do your job well, you will be rewarded. AND with those rewards you can do magical things by investing it wisely.

My daughter gets pocket money for clearing the dinner table and loading the dishwasher!
My eldest son gets money for setting the dinner and breakfast table.
My youngest son gets $1 a day to pick up the dog droppings from the back yard, big fat dog, not a pleasant job! []
My middle son gets no money, he doesn’t have a need yet. He’s a bit of a sweet, sensitive hippy type.Cheers,

Hell yes, I have a dishwasher!
At one stage I had 4 kids, 5yrs and under. A hell of a lot a dishes and no-one with any energy left to wash them [xx(]
(Besides our first dishwasher we bought from our winnings at our one and only trip to the casino![8D])OK the kids are older now, and you’re right, goddamit, they should wash some dishes [}
