Well, I’ve never been in the wrap forum before, I thought it might be a little beyond me…..how very enlightening this thread is []
I did love this quote though
“You can call a spade a shovel but dont call it a backhoe.’
Well done, seven

It’s going to be very quiet in here for a couple of weeks…..kids are on holidays so I guess I won’t be here much either []
Best wishes,

Hi Guys,
Mmmmmmmmmmmm to sell the harley, or not sell the harley???? This is a question I/we have been pondering…….
Technically it’s my hubby’s, his mid-life crisis thingy…an expensive doodad. Equal to a couple of good deposits on cf+ investments! He did enjoy the charity run on Sunday, I gess he needs some fun in his life []
Excuse my complete ignorance, but what are Ulyssians?

Interesting aussierogue,
How do you show that you are in the process?
Perhaps digging a hole and state that you’ve started the foundations! Sorry, a bit silly []
Maybe have some plans drawn up, erect a temporary fence…options?
What if you claim for a couple of years, then sell without building? There would be a time limit before “actual” contruction must commence, I suppose.

hi Matt,
I don’t know why anyone would change their mind like that either. I guess that’s why the agents rush you inside to sign the contracts. On the plus side, if you think you have been carried away with the emotions of the auction, perhaps gone over your limit, you have the option of not going through with it. I wouldn’t want to be the vendor in this situation though []
I didn’t see the whole segment on TT, but I did see a couple being interviewed about the flip side. Apparently they had the winning bid at auction, were all excited with their purchase, but the deal didn’t go through. I think the vendors decided it wasn’t enough and didn’t sign the contracts.

Hi scotty,
Re: still in school, you asked about his accountant. I have seen him state that he has a background in accounting, so my guess is he does his own bookwork.
Cheers,

Have to agree with mini on the “renovate as soon as you buy” option. Especially in the present climate, where vacancies are high. Many people are still trying to rent out houses that haven’t been touched since being built in the 50’s.
Worked a couple of years ago, but not now.

P.S. I’d still like to know how it works though, redwing []

Hi mumof3,
Sorry to hear you are so stressed out!
Did you actually mean you have $1080 of expenses per week, or did you mean month?
I think you need to look at your expenses first, and see where you can cut back…work out where all your money is going, in detail on paper, this may help you to get a look at the big picture.
Cheers,

HiGuys,
I wonder how many “hits” the Mandurah Real estate agents are going to get on their websites in the next few days [][] I sense a stampede a-coming….

Hi Redwing,
Great info. The local girl story you talked of- when did she renovate?
Is this how it goes:
Settle property, get dep. schedule, rent for a year or so, renovate, get another dep.schedule
Or
Just a dep. schedule after the renovating?
Hope that makes sense []

Hi Celivia,
When we recently moved house, we had locksmith come out and change all the key configurations. All our locks are now opened by one key, even security doors. It is very convenient to have the one key.
It cost us $15 a barrel, i think deadlocks have two.
Good luck,

Wow Leigh, you worried me there for a second []
I thought, “Oh no, not another great contributor leaving the forum!”
I hope all goes smoothly on your trip, and enjoy your Christmas break,
Keep smiling,

Hi Des & Sue, and welcome []
I don’t know a lot about commercial props myself, but there have been plenty of posts lately on commercials.
If you click on the search link at the top of the screen, I’m sure you will find a lot of information.
Hope this helps,

I guess, I’m a little behind the times. I just don’t like sitting at my computer and reading, not my thing. Prefer to do my reading comfortably.
I already own the book.
Besides, my computer doesn’t like me. I have the Buyer Beware E-book somewhere in here, stuffed if I can find it though []
