Thanks heaps for the advice
I will send you an e-mail shortly 'Results1'. I not sure I'm capable enough to go through the whole process on my own, so having some professional help would be great.
"Are you intending to buy this property as your owner occupied property and claim the First Home Owners Grant or buy it for investment ?"
Not sure yet. I'll probably be looking to rent it out.
I'm not sure if this is a great idea, but how does it work legally if I live in the home, while also renting it out (if I were living with friends or such?).Thanks again, I appreciate the help.
Have you got any details on the Melbourne seminar?
I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I'm interested in speaking with a financial advisor myself.
I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for advisors in Melbourne? I could just go down to my bank and see someone there, but I'm not sure if they would have their own agenda.
I just need some general advice at this stage. Is there a standard/average fee they usually charge?
Thanks guys, you have been a huge help as usual.
Cheers, I appreciate the input.
Kick her out, for real.
She's not worth the trouble, there are plenty of good people looking to rent out there.I don’t know about the legal procedures, but I would try to get rid of this person.
Either buy his share yourself, or divide it between all 3 of you.I think you will need professional help for this one.
Thanks mate.
I was just searching around then.
I found a few sites online where you can register. One was through the westpac site, the other was the ASIC site.
I’m not really ready to register a company just yet. I’m just trying to find out why I would register one, and what it could do for me.Thank again.!
Thank Aussie, I appreciate the advice.

Anybody?
Should I not have mentioned this site? Feel free to delete if I’m breaking any rules here.
Are you sure that you wouldn’t be able to get into Mckinnon SC. from Glen Huntly?
I live in Mckinnon, and went to Mckinnon SC. I had friends there who lived further out than Glen Huntly. But perhaps they have changed their zoning or something.Anyway, I don’t really have any advice, but hope you work everything out.
Thanks alot.
I really appreciate everyones help. Thanks, you have all been most helpful.
Thanks again.
I actually try to avoid the bull<edited>, and it’s not the money that is important to me. What I really value is the freedom to live my life in my own way.
I believe I do have the mindset to accomplish what I want.. I do have the desire to succeed, and when I set my mind to something it gets done. What I’m having trouble with is getting started.
What practical steps should I be taking in order to acquire my first property?
Who do I need to speak to? An accountant, financial planner, real estate agent, mortgage broker, etc… (all of them?)
Hopefully my income will be going up slightly in the next few weeks, and I don’t mind paying for good advice and guidance.Has anyone got any opinions about registering a business / company to trade under? Not only for property, but do you think it would be a good idea in general?
Thankyou.
Thanks mate, I appreciate it.
At the moment my main focus is on my training (martial arts etc…), aswell as my limited clientelle base (personal training).
I don’t mind dedicating myself to property, but I won’t be able to commit 100%, and I don’t want it to be my main priority at this stage.
I would like to open my own gym sometime in the future, but not for some time yet. There are a few other projects I would like to work on aswell, more in line of starting some business projects (such as a website).
I don’t have anything planned seriously as of yet, but I just feel like that is where I would be really happy. The thought of owning property, and maybe receiving a residual (or is it passive?) income also makes me happy.I would like to take some positive steps towards my first property sometime soon. Like you said, I don’t want to regret missing out, or leaving it too long.
I just don’t know where to start. I really need someone to talk to who can guide me through the whole process and not take advantage of my ignorance. How did you guys go about purchasing your first investment property?
