Another interesting subject.
A question arises. If there is a downturn in the property market brought about by increased interest rates would a mortgage broker benefit from mortgagees re-financing their debt if they believe they this would be to their advantage.
Billfromoz- thank for detailed response, greatly appreciated.
Zanis1- I’ll have to get a copy of the book.I actually saw it in Myer yesterday but did not pick it up.
I agree with Crashy on the sharemarket. The last 3 years have seen a Bear Market.Based on history, the general consensus about the economy [ not property]the results coming from listed companies it all looks extremely favourable. The sharemarket has increased approx 20 percent since March but it is still below the high established a couple of years ago. You can also purchase bluechip shares yielding 5 percent plus fully franked. These are my thoughts only and you should do your own research.
Enjoyed reading your thoughts on property Retire 2012 and the responding comments. A lot of common sense shown by all. What happens in the near future to property values is beyond me as everyone seems to have an agenda.
I have just been reading another site at this location and apparently there are cash flow properties available at Cobar.Do your research. Steves book is fantastic.
I have been looking at another post at this siteand apparently there are cashflow poitive opportunities in Cobar.
Where is Cobar? Can someone give me the number for the local real estate agent so I can see if there are any properties worth considering.
Thanks for your responses, everyone . I shall continue to investigate and research possibilities. All the best
