Just a wild thought as my parents are considering investing in a ‘lifestyle’ for themselves so figured I’d look into it as well from an investment point of view.

I think I’ll just visit them in their new ‘lifestyle’.

One of my properties is furnished and I have had no issues at all.

I think the trick is to choose your tenants carefully, do a complete inspection with photos and make sure the furniture actually looks nice so that they do respect it.

An additional $40 a week makes me smile all the way to the bank!

With a distant completion date of mid 2007 …seems plenty of time for a lot of ‘wot if’s’ to occur in the meanwhile….

Friends of mine have an old church which they’ve decked out with a mezzanine floor for the bedrooms to take the advantage of the high ceilings and it looks fabulous. Your imagination is your only limitation.[]

As for costs … wouldn’t have a clue. Can you ask a builder for a guestimate before you make a decision?

I found this Lazy Budget many yrs ago and always use it as a quick cross reference to see how things are tracking.

10% Pay yourself

20% Food & Drink
