I actually posted a similar question in HEADS UP…and didn’t get any real update..This program was made public when it was first started, it got everyones attention and now you cant get a boo out of them…makes you think…????

Since you live in Darwin, what are your thoughts on whats happening there..I was up there 3 weeks ago and think that the market is starting to move. Rent yields are good. I was looking at a block of units (6x2brm) in Casuarina and that day a investor from Brisbane flew up just to look at this block. So I think people are starting to look very hard at Darwin..

I brought a DHA house 18 mths ago. Brought it from another investor. So it’s was not over priced. But if you buy directly from DHA, then expect to pay 10 to 20K over market price .Management fees are 16.5%, which is pretty steep but they repair/handle all repairs at no further cost.Rent is reviewed every 12mths(DEC). The house I brought had another 5yrs to run with an optional 3yrs.
Another newbie to this site. my real name is Kevin. I live in Alice Springs with my wife Michelle and 4 kids, age from 12 to 18. We have been investing in property for the last 5 yrs. We have 6 properties all around Australia. A balance of +ve & -neg properties. Goal is to be able to retire in 6 yrs time.[8D].By then I will be 47 yrs old.
