I used to be a bit of a health freak [freak], years ago. Vegetarian, eating health foods only.[sick2]
Did it make me feel better?
    No![:O]
I didn’t feel I was enjoying life to the fullest without my favourite foods. And it was a lot of effort.

My motto now is, I just eat and drink what I like, but eat the bad things in moderation.[:P]
I like keeping it simple, no stressing [stress] about what I should or shouldn’t consume.
I think we can be healthy AND happy if we just learn to balance our diet.

Retirement can be one of the best times of your life. When I think of my Grandmother (who died last year at the age of 93) she enjoyed every minute of her retirement. She retired at around 60, traveled and cruised around the world, was a member of a few hobby clubs, had a large cirle of friends, married for the 3rd time (outlived the previous 2 husbands) at 75, lived overseas in wintermonths say 3 months a year, and was energetic, happy, positive and loving.
At 91 (her 3rd husband had died also) she went into a home and there also made friends, regularly went out with friends from the past, and had a great time doing all kinds of fun things. She also worked voluntary at a school (a special program set up for interaction between generations) a few times a year to teach children the history she had been through.
Retirement is what you make of it.
If you think retirement is gonna be boring and just like ‘being death’ then it probably will be. If you think retirement is exciting and happy, then it probably will be, too.

LOL bbruham, wouldn’t a BMW look a bit awkward behind your desk…what would you have done with it- drive the distance from one computer system to the other? hehe.
    [computer] -> [bike2] -> [computer]

I have to admit that I don’t really reward myself for having a ‘win’. When I have a win, or something positive has happened for me I just feel so happy [happy2]and cheerful [sunny] that this is a reward in itself.[^]

I don’t use layby, neither do I purchase on a credit card. If I have the money, I’ll buy it, otherwise I can wait till I have saved up for it.

Well there’s nothing I want sooooooo badly (excluding things that money can’t buy[biggrin])that I can’t do without for a while.

Pisces, is it: “Un poisson de person’s est quelqu’un poison d’else’s.”?

Hehe pisces, you want to know the reason behind people’s choice of avators? Interesting and fun!

I’d also find it interesting to know why people choose NOT to select an avator.

So… digging deep into your mind…is the reason you (and other avatorless people) haven’t chosen an avator because:
    *You wanna be mysterious?
*You cannot find the one you wanna be associated with or descibes you?
*You dunno how to get one?
    *You don’t have a subconscious?
    *Other reason?

Oh and I selected my avator, possibly because I like the cute, the funlover, the soft, the furry, the innocent, the playful … like little bunnies (Nijntje/Miffy hehe), nice soft, safe bears or this cute kitten.
    Awww I love ’em all!!![inlove]

How strange! I wrote things underneath this quote of ALf’s and nothing came up just that quote! Sorry!

Well I was saying that yes tough guys can do poetry still in my eyes.
Maybe not the proper rhyming poetry, or the slushy purple proza kind of things, but words like:
Hasta la vista BABY! and I’ll be back! and Go ahead and make my day!
This does have some poetric qualities for me, because it stirs my feelings! Come on girls, don’t you think this tough stuff should count as poetry, too? [biggrin]

Yes I’ve been a tenant (a very well behaved one at that[tongue])for many years. But…[hmm] hasn’t everybody rented at some stage?

Actually, I don’t know anyone who has NOT been a tenant.

However the longer you spend with them, the more beautiful they appear each day and become, as if illuminating from a lantern inside! As this attraction isn’t limited to their physical being, then the attraction, love and their beauty has no limits.
Wow Gatsby you have a romantic heart! This is just beautiful!
