I lived in one once – out in Central Australia – it wasn't so bad.
It was mounted on a slab and had all mod con's. A/C kept it cool in summer and warm in winter. With one bedroom and small bathroom the rest was a n easy to use lounge/dining kitchen area

My big goal for 2013 is to  off load  negatively geared property in Australia, go back to the US and buy  more property there so that I can then retire in peace!

I have a studio in Cairns and have never had problems with it in over 5 years. Bank didn't care about the size either. it looks all OK, wiring plumbing etc is good. The IP is not tenanted but rang a local agent (not the selling agent) and there are few “good” places available and they are looking for them. I have no IP’s near me so am used to not seeing properties so don’t really know why I am just a bit hesitant with this one.
