Hi Kay,
Thanks for your thoughts!!
I’ve found the way to move forward is not necessarily the nuts and bolts info about how to do this and how to do that, but the stuff that makes us question why and our motives for doing things. Yes, while this seems all mushy and gooey, this is the stuff that enables us to really learn! And that pretty much helps with anything we do, not just with our finances! The shoes of others are always a good place to visit!!
Just incidently, I was expecting something very much along the lines of what you wrote actually, so I was really interested in reading your post! Thanks for taking the time to reply.
I really appreciate these little personal comments that I ask people on the forum to share when they reach some type of forum milestone! It’s all good stuff and helps me learn heaps.
BTW, I think your yodelling needs a little work. Soooo….it’s probably going to mean another trip to Austria for you I’m afraid!!
Thanks again Kay.
Cheers
BronWhoops! Sent that last post off too quick!
Being the wise one you are(!!) could you please toss us a couple of crumbs of wisdom!! In celebration of your 1000th post, do you mind telling us beginners your 2 “top tips” for PI?
Thanks for all your great posts!
Cheers
BronCongratulations Kay!!
Missed your posts while you were away!! I’m sure you had a great time though! How was the weather in Austria? Have you learned to yodel yet? No? Maybe you’ll have to go back again! What a shame!
Cheers

BronHey Melbear,
Sorry to hear you’ve lost you’re job!! If they don’t know how lucky they were to have you… that’s OK!…Because someone else will realise and snap you up in no time!!
Good luck with finding another job, (if that’s what you plan to do), but as Rachel said take a bit of a break if you can before throwing yourself back into it all again. I know that’s easier said than done. Murphy’s (or somebody’s else’s) Law – if you’ve got the time to kick up your heels or to relax, you probably don’t have the money to do it and vice versa.
Best of luck anyhow!! Something great is probably just around the corner!!
Cheers
BronWow PG! I guess this makes you a heavyweight!
How much time do you get to spend on the forum? At this rate I’ll probably make it to 2000 posts by the time I’m 103!

BronHi Mel!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!
My question to you was just a general one, not necessarily what you had learnt from the forum but what you have learnt since you began with PI. (I have asked slightly different questions each time so I dont’s sound like a broken record!)Thanks for your reply though. I always enjoy hearing whar you have to say!
MMMmmmm Yes! We all have to stop being jealous of Westan!!!Ha Ha! At least he helps keep me motivated! And he’s still happy to share info! Thanks Westan!

BronHi Mika,
I’m just starting out myself, so don’t really have any answers to your questions other than to suggest you read Steve McKnight’s book “0 – 130 Properties in 3.5 Years”. The content of this book is not gimmicky. He certainly doesn’t profess to be a guru, quite the opposite, but gives sound, reasonable, rational advice and information about several approaches for generating income through investing. The book is also written in an easy to understand, reader friendly way!
My only other advice is to stay tuned to this website and you’ll learn heaps!
Good luck!
BronHi Elwood,
I’m just starting too. I’m learning heaps by reading at the moment. There’s really a lot of good books out there. It’s a small investment to buy 10 or 15 good books and they can give a really good range of approaches to tackle real estate investing. This has been really helpful for me in finding out which direction to take my first steps, as well as putting a plan together. It’s hard to get started if you don’t know what you need to know.
Being a part of this forum is really one of the best things! You can ask just about anything and people respond! There is also a massive amount of archival information too. Type in just about anything you’d like to know and hit Search. Bingo! There it is! And if it’s not, someone will happily fill you in. There are other forums out there as well which are recommended, however this one has a friendly atmosphere and is very positive.
Good Luck!
BronThanks for going to the trouble of redoing your reply, Rugbyfan. Very helpful info and much appreciated!
Cheers
BronThanks everyone,
I’ll throw these 2 books onto the short list!
Cheers
BronCalling Melbear! Are you out there?
Surely you don’t have anything else in your life other than this forum!!
Cheers
BronHi Melbear!
I’ve asked similar questions of a couple of others lately, as they have reached different milestones on the forum. I thought you might not mind adding your considerable words of wisdom….
What are the 2 most important things you’ve learned about investing in real estate?
My big ears are flapping! I’d love to hear what you have to say!
Thanks as always!
Cheers
BronThanks SIS,
Yeah, I get it. I just have to work out how to do it! I have so many things running through my head at night these days my eyes just don’t want to close!
