    The termination period varies from state to state. I know in QLD you need to give 90 days notice to terminate an agreement however if both parties agree, this time frame can be reduced to 30 days.

    You could drive around the area and see who has the most signs up. The major real estate websites can also give you an idea of who is active. I'd probably suggest you invite 2 or 3 agents over for an appraisal and ask them about some of their recent sales in the area. I'd ask them what their recommendations were to get your property sold if they were successful in gaining your business

    I certainly wouldn't let the fact there was once a tip next door stop me from purchasing if the deal looked good. Go for it I say!

    I would highly recommend you see an independent property lawyer. They will go over all the paperwork with a fine tooth comb and can advise you of what options you have available.

    We manage hundreds of investment properties and generally we do not change the locks between tenancies. In the rare case that a new tenant requests new locks, generally the landlords oblige.
