Hi Yack,
I’ve switched this off for you, but for future reference, see the “Subscriptions” menu bar option just below “Forum Boards” on the left hand side of the screen?

over there… but up a bit…Click on this, and it will list all the forums and topics you are subscribed to. Click the envelope with the red minus sign to unsubscribe.
I’ve found this is the easiest way to unsubscribe.

Hi Heather,
You might want to begin using the latest version of FireFox – it’s a well-built browser which is an alternative to Internet Explorer (unfortunately, IE can sometimes trip over sites like PropertyInvesting.com).
Download your copy for free at http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
I’ve found FireFox loads pages particularly fast – and I believe this may be part of your issue. I also suspect you’re on dialup which is aggrivating this problem.
I hope this helps

Hi Woodsman,
We’re upgrading the drivers which run the database which PropertyInvesting.com is built around to combat these errors. Hopefully we’ve nailed this bug, but if you spot it anymore, let us know.
Thanks

Hi FM001,
A lot of investors have found the best way to streamline the process is to use the services of property managers etc.
There’ll always be the occasional management issue, but from here on in, it’s largely a matter of filing paperwork, and keeping the books up to date (something a book-keeper could do for a day or three once a month for example).
You might also find that there’s economies of scale – for example, it may take you (say) one hour a month to manage one property but probably wouldn’t take 130 hours (or over 3 weeks of your month) to manage 130 properties.

Hi Tom,
I’ve dropped you an e-mail about this, containing details on how to solve what I think the problem is.
Let me know (via reply e-mail) if this doesn’t work.

Hi Lidfest,
I’ve e-mailed you with some details to help out, but it looks like this might possibly be a technical glitch with the site.. If so, I want to get on top of ASAP – for you and anyone else who might come across it in future.
1. The first solution I’ll make is to just hit refresh. Often, when some element of a page isn’t loading, just hitting refresh can solve the problem.
2. Otherwise… If you were to click “Help” and then “About” in your browser, you should be able to find out what version your browser is. e.g. Internet Explorer Version 5.1 etc.
The problem might be a browser compatibility issue which we need to fix, or an issue with your javascript or cookie settings (which might be blocking certain information from being displayed on your computer).
The version of your browser should help me to point you in the right direction for solving either of these problems permanantly, and help me to find out what’s causing this. Finally, rdbaker28077, where did “..has not responded to your e-mail” come from? Was something in this thread edited out before I read it?
As for not putting the phone numbers on the web-site as the initial contact point, the process we set in place gives Edenlea Mortgages everything they need to know to begin with so that they can start answering your specific questions on the first phone call, and get right down to the business of finding the best loan for you.
There’s only so much a mortgage broker can say before you give them this information.
Re: General Information on Edenlea, there is information at https://www.propertyinvesting.com/finance/nine-reasons.html
This goes into the who, what, where and how Edenlea helps its clients and deals with your application. Is there anything more specific which you’re after?Brent

I don’t think I’ve had the same problem you experienced but I hate it when I’ve finally finished a long winded ‘manifesto’ reply and my hand has touched some key just as I’m about to finish and ‘BOOM’ I’ve somehow deleted the whole lot and have had to start all over again, or more often than not think ‘bugger’ and given up!
Cheers,
Gatsby!Eek – we’ve all done that at least once before. I reckon the worst part is trying to remember everything you said the first time.
Microsoft Word or Notepad can be a handy tool if you’re doing long posts – you can type your post into there, and save it midway through (just in case).
Murphy’s law says you’ll always be just about to save your work when your computer crashes though [hmmm]

Hi Kay,
It looks like this problem has now been fixed.
If you click Refresh on the postcode page and give it another shot, you should have no troubles. If you do find you have trouble completing the order, call the office on 1800 660 630 and we’ll be able to get you through.

Hi Tikki,
If you go to https://www.propertyinvesting.com/forum/category/7.html and select one of the archives you want to view.
Then, change the “order from” box from “all open topics” to “all topics” and you’ll be able to view all old posts.Brent
Hey Myydral,
The newsletter page has changed slightly – I believe you need to be logged in to view it now.
Once you’re logged in, go to https://www.propertyinvesting.com/backissues

Hi kay,
This ‘Postcode’ bug is a new one. All the code in the postage and handling calculator has only just been written, and Australia Post will be taking over shipping of all our products on Tuesday.
This glitch should have been fixed Friday afternoon, I believe. However the way to get around the bug is to type in “800” instead of “0800” (ie – just remove the first zero).
I hope this helps
Brent
Hey Soosh,
Great to see you on the forums again! [biggrin]
Let me run through what I think happened.
I believe you were just about finished typing your post, and you clicked “Subscribe to this topic”.
Unfortunately, what you typed had to be posted (saved by clicking the “Post Topic” or “Post New Reply” button) before you subscribed to the topic.
Or, I believe the “Subscribe to this topic” button needed to be pressed before you began. But I’m still playing with the forums myself.
I hope this helps

Hey Mel,
That Archive (A) icon – I’ve got no idea where it came from, or how to get rid of it.
As far as I know, there should be nothing there.I’ll get a techie to put it on their list of things to do.
Thanks for the heads up
Brent
