I am still struggling to find a good accountant in Perth. Any suggestion?
DON'T USE H&R BLOCK! That's my claim! They screwed me seriously & didn't return my Docs.
If you do find a decent bloke, let me know too!PaulTextor wrote:Most insurance policies provide more than adequate cover for these types of accidents.
Most insurance companies will use any loophole they can not to pay & most people will under insure to save a buck
"It'll never happen to me…"Hi Michael,
I'm new to the game too, but from the things I have read, NEVER use your own name for anything. If I'm renting your IP from you and have an accident on the back steps, YOU are responsible for my claim when I sue you, & if your insurance doesn't extend far enough, I can potentially take both your IP AND your Family home.
Don't really know anything about the Trusts, But why not just put the Properties in you Company name? Unless you're concerned your Company may get sued (Not Implying Shoddy workmanship, just the nature of people to Sue for the hell of it)? Or do you want them kept seperately for other reasons?
Will be interesting to see what experienced people will say
BoogzThanks Jenny,
Unless they change my Roster, I should be able to make April
Miss out on this months by one day, I finish my days off & start work at 0400 on the 17th
Hope to make the next one,
Thanks again
BoogzHi Jenny,
I have a crappy shiftwork job, so I'll be lucky if I can make One of this years meetings, let alone all of them, But I am really interested in coming along and meeting other investors, although admittedly for my own selfish needs in getting some kind of support.
It's march now, and I would really like to know the dates for the March, April & even May meetings in the hope that I might be able to make atleast one.
I'm new to investing, and kinda starting behind the 8 ball, but I would love to gets some Ideas as to how to proceed.
About the best I could offer any other participant would be a brief and limited laymans understanding of Quantum theory, or a dedicated drinking partner, but if anyone is willing to help, that would be great!Regards
BoogzThanks again for your advice, athough I probably should have been a little more specific, We've just finished building our first home (Well 15months ago) And we have about $65k in personal loans debt from a failed stockmarket attempt.
$50 a month positive cashflow from an outlay of about a Buck O'five would be magic right now! But only if you can lend me a dollar…
Admit it, I'm screwed!
Thanks Matt,
I really appreciate your input on the matter, & I kinda guessed you'd be first on the F@&% Rolton Bandwagon lol
Seems like it'll be a fair whack of work, above & beyond the standard, which is a real shame, because I'm in an area that was starting to be developed before the GFC but there is still plenty of land that lies untouched between different areas of the suburb. only problem is I'm a shift worker so wouldn't likely have the time for all the extra prep work needed.
I guess I'll just have to keep lookin through here for another stratergy that'll help me to cut back my hours so I can put in the time on some larger projects.
If you know of anything that requires little startup capitol & even less prep time, give me a buzz. It doesn't have to make a $1m,
Just getting something coming in is a start. Despite your opinion of Rolton, Surely you must agree with his Catchphrase "You'll never go broke making a profit"Again, thanks for your advice,
