Re: stars. Perhaps, to reduce any confusion, we’ll rename the ‘status’ to more directly reflect number of posts.
Personally, I like the starts etc. as I can check whether someone has flown in, or whether someone is actually part of the community and posts on a regular basis.

I have to agree with Steve on this one. As I was a newbie only bout a month ago having the number of posts up the top allowed me to know who has been around for a while and is interactive with the site.
We may have professionals on here too but some of them may not reply or give advice, where as the number of posts gives you some idea of whos been around the forum lots and is someone who may be willing to help no matter how much they know…every bit of information helps!
I know some people post A LOT and only two or three words…. not mentioning any names….. Chan[whistle] LOL but at least when I post something I know I’m gonna get some sort of respose.
As far as the stars go…..I want some more!!!!![wail]
No, to be blatently honest I couldn’t give a toss!! [aacool]
All in all I think this site is great and I have got a lot out of it…. thanks all!
I actually left school in year 11….when I told my year co-ordinator that I was leaving (to pursure a career as a chef) she just about died and said….
“but you HAVE to go to uni!!! What will you do if you don’t go to uni? You should stay and go to uni… you have to!!” and then something along the lines of I won’t get anywhere if I don’t go to Uni.
My cousin spent 4 long years studying architecture in uni and she still hasn’t got a job! I am in real estate, on my way to investing and planning to retire at 30!!!
EAT S*@T MRS WATEVER YOUR NAME WAS!!!!
I think would be good to teach money management so that fewer of us get caught in credit traps and learn how to budget our money for life ahead…. and perhaps motivational stuff so that kids know that no matter how unfortunate they are (I was cursed with a loud mouth… kicked out of many a class for chatting!) there is always a future for them and that anyone can get anywhere all they gotta do is try!
I know it’s slightly off topic but I have to agree with Russ…. I am a country bumkin gal and hate even going to Adelaide which is quite a bit smaller than Sydney.
I can rent a place where I live at the moment….
4 bedroom home on bout an acre for about $280pwk and my heart flutters at the thought of paying that price for rent, I think I would drop dead right on the spot if someone said I had to pay 800 bucks a week in rent!!!!![skull]
I pay $90pwk for 2bdrm flat perfect for me and bf and it takes my 5min to get to work!
Tommo…. good luck with you ventures tho!!![biggrin]
The best way to stop them staright away from getting one more dollar is what Chan said.
Go into your bank and ask them to deny CGU Insurance permission to direct debit your account and they should be able to do it for you right there and then.
If CGU have been misinformed and truly believe that they are entitled to payment they will soon ring you!! Then you can proceed with the….. “WEEELLLL, EXCUUUUUSE ME!……” Wish I could be there have had nothing but problems with insurance and lending companies[agro3]…. had to get bit nasty with one before and stand my ground…. I WON!
UUUmmmmmmm…… you sure it was Ray White Mount Gambier because we have only been open for about three months and only have a few listings……. pretty sure none of them are +ve CF.
I think that a part of my problem is that I am using the 11 second solution for a filtering tool and its just filtering them all out!!! LOL[lmao]
For example there is a set of two flats for sale at the mo for $52,500ea. They are joined to others which makes major reno’s a problem and it looks like the roof is a bit shabby. Only one bedroom units and are currently tennanted at $75 per week. With the roof repairs and only being one bedroom I can see nothing but negatives….! Plus applying the 11 second solution definitely makes it a negative…. am I looking at this in the wrong way perhaps???
I am only a trainee at this stage and I will be finished my training in July. We can only get specific information on properties (Yes, the additional information I can access is helpful!)
BUT it does not help the fact that Mount Gambier is possibly not a place where I will be able to purchase my CF+ve IP’s.
So it is suggested that I look up all houses in other towns and research all their background?????……. isn’t that the hard way and the exceptionally long way?????
I believe that if I am looking to invest in another town I need to research it…. all I am asking is that someone give me some guidance as to where to start…..Yes I have tried myself and can’t seem to find what I am looking for![evil5]
Well, I live in Mount Gambier in South Australia and I work for Ray White Real Estate so I am an agent.
Yes there are a few diamonds in the rough here in the mount but if I am looking for financial independence it’s not going to come from two or three diamonds I am going to need a whole mine of them….. hence my question how do I research and what do I need to look for in particular?
