I wish I could say it was but, alas, no.

I confess that I did lie about my age on the member profile [sneaky] – BUT NOT THAT MUCH !!!

Seeing as your parents are focussing on their own investment future, perhaps you could put a spin on your proposal!

You and your property can be their investment.

The deal I made with my parents was that the deposit they provide to make the purchase possible paid back to them on the sale of the property PLUS a percentage on that amount being the percentage of profit you make when you sell it. My parents are pretty tight when it comes to cash but it worked for me.

The fact that I don’t intend to sell the place anytime soon is something I chose not to mention. [}:)] Meanwhile I used the equity on that place to purchase my current PPOR and, when available, will use future equity to buy another one.

    Hi blondie_bec,

I’m like you in never being able to save. Only in the last 3 months have I taken advise from several real estate/money type books (originating from Richest Man In Babylon I think) to pay myself first by transferring 10% of my wage into a separate account.

I honestly am yet to feel the effects of not having that money on hand. For me to do this is a minor miracle.[:I]

As far as getting a foot in the door, can your parents (or your boyfriends parents) help out with the deposit? That’s how I managed to get my first home because like you I hadn’t got it together.

Good luck and let us know how you go.

    I do – sort of.

I know the answer but am unsure how the question goes…[:I]

A guy at work told me so I’ll clarify tomorrow (although my son just told me that he asked two friends at school and they both had heard the riddle and knew the answer straight off). It can’t be that tricky but I’ll post it tomorrow.

    Thanks for remembering though… [:)]

Tornadoes crossed my mind earlier too but the ‘young woman’ can’t be anything else (better not be..[:(!]).

I was just thinking boats too are feminine but as above. What about aeroplanes..!?

    I take it I can’t ask questions then [:(]

I was thinking along the lines of some type of disease or virus that caused the first death then some sort of fusion (three others) to cause some sort of mass outbreak. Thinking Typhoid Mary type thing.

…and, when you ask “Who is she?”, is the answer a personal name??

    (I haven’t got a clue – is it obvious?![:0])

Are we allowed to ask questions?

    I’ll ask just in case…

Did she mean to kill the first person?
Are the three ‘others’ also young women?

I like that one! It’s sort of cute…

I didn’t see this riddle until it was solved, so, another one please.

Thank you all for your responses. I got the call back from the manager of property managers yesterday. I’ve agreed to give another month of management to the same firm taking into consideration that the new property manager is new to the game and got lumped with umpteen properties because the first one left.

If I am unable to name the agents, I’m sure the names will be scrubbed… otherwise, Darwin Rental SPECIALISTS – care when there’s nothing to do other than put a stamp on an envelope – and, Raine & Horne (Darwin) seem to have too many properties per manager.

Shaun – I’ll be ringing Alliance first thing Monday. Thank you.

Jac & Ray – I’ll stay in touch re property managers. Are you local to Darwin or are you investers from afar? Don’t be put off by my tale of woe… personally I believe Darwin is the place to go for future investment and I will let you know if I ever find a property manager worthy of your custom.

I know except I heard it in the form of a doctor whose son is hospitalised. That should make sense to PG and utterly confuse those of you trying to work it out.
