I might also add, im pretty lucky when it comes to being put into serious situations, as im able to think straight and go into auto pilot and do what needs to be done, however not long after once the adrenalin slows down it hits me pretty hard as it does for alot of people.

rFor several reasons I don’t wana go into on here, but to have 6 injured children and 3 adults to care for by 2 people, (others were there but couldn’t find it in themselves to help for what ever reason) after a serious road accident the last thing we wanted to do is have our faces on TV.
Unless you have been in this situation, holding an 11 yo girl in your arms trying to comfort her while her leg is nearly wrapped around her head and can see her internal organs than I guess it would be difficult to understand.

Not a personal attack mate just trying to get a clear perspective on what your thoughts are.
My thoughts are they it is not accurate journalism.
As far as new journo’s go, I was once near a serious road accident as it occurred and a few friends and myself attended to the injured. Once the news crews arrived one of them (Ch2 I think it was) asked us all for comments we all refused. They then said to one of my mates, you know if you wont talk to us we have to join the dots and make it up. How is this journalism?
When I was working on a local radio station I also noticed that the news varied every 30 minutes for the same incident.

Assets go on what u own (equity) not what u owe money on so the trick is to buy up alot of properties then after u have a good portfolio revalue and then possibly go off the pension all going well. Well thats my plan anyway.

DONT MISS OUT!!!!!It’s the same in SA Russ as I have previously mentioned several times. My understanding with the spotting its fairy universal around OZ as the REIA are behind it. As far as wraps go they are still legal in allot of states, but SA is not one of them.
Joint ventures are ok, and so are spotting under the umbrella of a licensed R/E agent.

DONT MISS OUT!!!!!Currently in SA they are builing a new freeway link into Outer Harbour from the north. They been wanting to do this for about 40 years, and its finally on the way. Port Adelaide is tradtionally very much a working class area but has been on the move the last few years. I would suggest it would be a wise investment investing in this area. Would be hard to obtain +ve there tho. Outer Harbour also having a big upgrade.

Im looking for them to, and been checking out ebay. There is a mob in the US selling them in package deals like $320 Australian with 101, 202 and cash flow for kids. I think it’s an extra $90 for the software game and about $50 postage all up to Australia slow mail 4-6 weeks, or around $100 fast mail about 3-4 days. Aslo has discount vouchers for various other things included. Its worth checking out.

DONT MISS OUT!!!!!I would be concerned about kids drowning myself. Even tho I would do all I can to prevent it, i know if i owned a pool in a IP and one of the kids drowned it would be very difficult for me.
Personal thing for me i guess. I have had to pull two of my own kids out of pools in the past, it happens so fast and so quietly.

DONT MISS OUT!!!!!Hey Russ they are still around as u say. The best I have found is 12k needed about 3 k spent on it then could have been rented for 80-100 pw and with a view.
However, what I have found
1) No property manager, so best to be a local.
2) The locals didn’t wana sign leases, it scared the heebee geebees out of them for some reason.
3) The locals preferred to rent from the locals, as they were trusted more then interstate investors. Apparently too many had been caught out by interstaters continuously raising the rent.
Having said that I had considered doing a move and managing my own properties, but it would have meant leaving my kids behind, so decided not to do so.
I would suggest if one is young, unemployed and willing to do the handy man work themselves and willing to move to this town or other towns like it, they can make a real killing.
Just my 2 bobs worth. [wink]

In SA this loophole has been closed up, along the same lines as selling used cars. There is a limit to how many times a year u can do it. I have contacted my solicitor here in SA and awaiting his reply. As my lawyer has told me he can’t comment on interstate laws so what I say is for SA only. However the REISA has told me it that REIA was behind the change. I may email your post to my lawyer and see what he says about it.
