Around my PPOR I often find termites active in fire wood and other bits of wood I have lying around. They never seem to get to the house, the area is commonly known for termite activity but I know of no one that has had them in a house. My outside rumpus room had one fence poll eaten away from termite less then 2 feet from the rumpus room, and still none around there. Black ants are always a GOOD sign also as they eat the termites a friend that owns a pest extermination company has informed me. He also says look for mud trails along the house, and if u have concrete floors then u pretty safe if u don’t have them. If it has wooden floors then obviously they can come up thru the bottom with out being able to see them.

Good properties can still be located near the beach with beach views for as low as $160k. Land for $30k. So it’s just a matter of moving on the next place where it hasn’t boomed yet.

They all say they will be offering that soon, I been hearing that for years, media ring said that about 6 years ago. I think it’s to get u to download their proggy, then eventually it comes in where u can ring landline phones, but u have to pay.Net to net been around for a long time, but beware of mobs that say they will offer free net to landline.

That is very much an open question , but by no means a stupid question. No such thing as a stupid question.
I would suggest you go to real etstate agents in the area’s you are looking at and talk to them as it varies so much from area to area.

It depends what what area of the towns u buy in. Some of the not so deleightful areas are a bit harder to find tenants.
Some are very close to university so now is the best time to be trying to rent them out.

hehehehehe, Westan thats an example of what i mean about local knowledge putting us out.LOL, even 3 years ago i was saying keep away from smithfeild plains, very very rough area, but Deveron park is worse but is now pulling in better prices that commision houses in elizebeth vale (15 minutes closer to the city). I have no idea why. Maybe coz the name doesnt have elizebeth in it any more……..LOL
I remember having a few beers with some of my real estate agent mates about 3 years ago and laughing about people paying 45-50k for houses in those areas, now they paying more like 120k, go figure………LOL
I would be worried about my house being pulled apart from the inside out ………..LOL

yes KAy a trap that is easily fallen into, however im sure the ones im talking about they made money as 12 months ago they probably got them for about 15k

yes kay in tassie u would get a renovated house for under 50k easy.
In SA im finding several from $45,000k but at that they need about 5k spent on them. found one house for 50k needed nothing doing to it. so yes they still around. The thing about Tassie they small town , not small town in SA tho.
b/w 50-60k can get a house in preety good shape in SARegards Bear
