Troy, I believe they call them ‘buyers agents’ I have seen other people refering to them and asking about their services, do a forum search.
***This is my opinion only***, but I dont believe in the easy options, my reasoning is if something is made to easy to get into, it makes it to easy (and probably costly) to get out of as soon as something…[Read more]
Unless you pay close to the full purchase price with cash, well, no [^]
>I’m reluctant to purchase properties which are 200+km away which is how far I think that you need to travel away from Sydney to find these properties. I don’t have a lot of time in my life with work and family commitments so travelling this far is not what I…[Read more]
Kaza45, we all feel ‘swamped’ at times with various problems and issues, having a problem a IS NOT anything to be embaressed about, irrespective of wether YOU concieve that by helping family friend you have done something wrong, their the ones who should be embarressed if they have done the wrong thing.
Chalk this one up to experience and look…[Read more]
This is not a silly question, and i’m sorry if this sounds like a silly answer, but what type of areas have you been looking in for 2 years with no luck[?]
good morning slatzagain, its great to see someone showing some initiative and trying to create an opportunity, in an increasingly difficult market, as opposed to complaining that you cannot find something in your first hour of net searching.
In relation to your points, I believe they have merit, especially about hospitals and staff.
Good point ALCHEMIST, I was reading my local real estate paper today, and for the first time that I am aware of the RE agents have had to resort to having ‘open houses’ to encourage renters!
I can assure you that these properties are NO where near being cash flow positive. And I dont believe they ever were.
VB, in relation to Grenfell, that would be the just the effect they are after, the person in charge of town promotion seems to be very pro- active in this regard.
Grenfell has appeared on numerous current affair type shows over the last few years, tempting new people to town, the council will pay fuel costs for example.
However, the advantage of making a purchase through this company is that they guarantee 10% return over 20 years. They obviously charge over 10% for rent and keep the difference but they are also responsible for maintenance and property management over the 20 years.
In light of this new information, I can understand why you would want further…[Read more]
Chiara, I have never heard of this crowd, which is not surprising due to where I come from, but on face value (the way you have described it) it appears to me to be the biggest rort I have ever heard of.[}]
I can just imagine having a bus load of ‘desperate investors’ pull up outside a house for sale, or for that matter any thing that even looked…[Read more]
I would say the locals have answered that question with the(disportionately) high number of houses for sale in cobar.
This brings me to another point that I have been pondering…. I think I will ponder it a bit more. Though I think the less ‘desperate’ buyers could guess[]
aussierogue, this is not quite what you asked for but I would be concerned about the credibility of the names ‘indigo’ and ‘astrid’ once your baby has pasted the age of about three. Obviously I prefer the less ‘trendy’ names, remember you dont have to go thru life it.[] BTW Hannah is the pick of them[]
Trisha, I just bought a couple of houses for $60K,
each after submitting a written offer including a ‘condition’ that I would pay $3k (5%)per house deposit. This wasnt questioned. I would say pay the least that you can get away with, does every one agree?
I would like to give recoginition to my local St. George branch, on my lastest purchase a couple of weeks ago, during my loan application process I indicated that I will be taking the 5 year fixed at 5.99%, went back to sign form a few days later to find the rate had ‘skyrocketed’ to 6.19% as a show of good faith, Vicky (loans Officer) waived my…[Read more]
