    Thanks for your suggestions Beanie, they will come in very useful. I travel to Darwin every few months – it sure is a different world up there!!!

    oops, actually I am from the gold coast – but I had heard about settlement agents from the forum. Obviously I didn’t do enough homework, thanks for the advice!

    I was thinking something very casual and informal at first, I have about 4 or 5 people who are keen to give it a go.

    Perhaps we all meet for coffee somewhere central; if all goes well then we can look at monthly meetings to discuss all things Real Estate. At the very least it can’t hurt to network, and I know for me at least that it will keep my motivation up!

    Are two lots of stamp duty paid in this case? One by you and one by the wrappee?

    Thanks for the advice; I was thinking not so much a buyer’s agent as someone who collects data. Takes video footage of the property, supplies local knowledge etc. Not so much a consultant, more of a gopher – could it still get me into trouble?
