A super effort and thanks for the updates. I get annoyed when web sites like refindhouseprices refuse to alert traffic to their site that there are issues related to updating content. Good on you for trying to contact them. Seems they could'nt care less
Wow, BB!! What a huge learning curve…what can I say? I've followed this thread, wishing you and your family the best – relocation wise – hoping you have found a new area of wealth creation.
Take care and please come back…you have many cyber friends in this community.
Good topic! I'm not a property developer and never intend to be…waaaay out of my league* but I'm a happy buy/hold/sell investor in property and ASX equities. I would love to renovate those un-loved properties that entice the 'House&Garden' in me but I'm not to be trusted with paint/paper/tiles nor sharp tools!
With the most recent property purchase I learned Broker Agents are there for a very good reason!
This year I intend to add to my property portfolio but I must confess, the stock market is my favourite place to invest.
*The figures just don't stack up for me, tax-wise…but that is a whole other topic.
Terry, thankyou for your insight and yes, seeking legal advice…*shudders*.
Have you had a client go through such an issue…I expect so, or you wouldn't have brought it to our attention?
You know, I really do loads of research before I make decisions…just goes to tell that there is always a question that isn't asked! In this case, I thought I had covered every scenario…sometimes learning curves are brutal.
Terry – it is to let the beneficiary know that the trust is borrowing funds and therefore unlikely to pay a dividend. As I understand it. Your last comment is too scary to contemplate so I hope not to go there…I intend seeking advice to have the trust amended.
Ooops! haven't checked in lately, sorry. Without knowing the criteria used by Destiny (Margaret Lomas) I hesitate to comment…except to say the drought has impacted severley on expenditure in this area.
You may be aware the lone 'industry' (table grapes/wine grapes/citrus) is in serious trouble through lack of water/irrigation.
Margaret is a guest on Your Money Your Call, Monday 1st December…your chance to call her perhaps.
pagey23, I'm fairly familiar with the Mildura area…I'm wondering how recent your research data is?
Although Mildura has been on the radar as an inland growth area in Commercial and Investment property, I would urge you to double check investment strategies for Mildura/Sunraysia. Just my opinion though.
